Default 180 Limit helps :)

So - around 8 months ago I got several 'soft' limitations.

I say soft - I mean the PayPal limitation where you can still 'receive' money but have to provide details to get account un-limited.

I couldn't be bothered with them as I had made some errors anyway so I left them dormant and unused.

Last night I mistakenly took a payment into one of these limited accounts. Two mins later I received an email from PP saying "YOUR FUNDS ARE NOW READY FOR WITHDRAWAL".

It seems that if you leave an account limited and take a payment after 180 days then you can access that money straight away. Just tried it with another and had the same thing happen. Handy when you need some urgent cash and have a bank account attached....

A limited pp after 180 days allows you to accept payments into the pp account?

Seems odd.

@seanws30 - I can follow that post of yours - when you get limited, you do have 14-21 days of grace period where you can accept payments but you can't do f*ck all unless you fix the limitation....after that the account goes down.

It just got 'limited', (please fax in docs) - I never got the 180 day email speech. It just happens that all funds are available for withdrawal after having a limit for 180 days - whether you get the email speech or not.

The balance was zero and it still allowed me to receive funds. I did that, accidentally, and I got the "your funds are now eligible for withdrawal" email immediately.

I've now done that with 4 accounts - so I can vouch it works. Useless if you don't have a bank account attached though...

Cheers - but I made some linking errors that made them toast and not worth bothering with. I set them up on a laptop that I bought from eBay.

During a conversation with the seller it dawned on me that he was stealth and he had used the comp. I didn't use separate user accounts so I was linked to him and he had several wiped out accounts...

I just forgot about them and plugged on.
