Bank sort number & details problem
 

I open a paypal business account today and when I try to add my bank account i got this message.

we are unable retrieve a bank/building society Name of branch based on the sort code entered. Please check the Sort and try again.

this is a basic bank account no visa debit on the card, someone can advise me.

What is the bank name? And sort code you provided?

santander basic bank account

Have you got your account confirmation letter? :noidea:

All the info is in the letter.

You might have made a typo with the numbers

no letter , i open today i put an address that I have no access , i will try put another bank account , any basic bank account will works right? or i am wrong :pop2:

Your better adding a bank with DD facility.

If you live in London go into metro bank and you should be able to open a current account in 15 minutes. Take 1 photo ID and and one utility bill.

Tell them you want a bank account with no credit facilities but can take DD....job done

You'll get your card there and then.;)

Any Basic account / cash card IS not good for paypal? :spy:

I wanted to know if this is common or not. This IS my first time i used Basic account.

I cannot advise beyond the previous set of advice given here. I would have thought that a DD facility would have been needed for it to successfully work with PP & to which I understood that more often than not, basic accounts lack such DD facilities.

the DD is on the santander basic

Current Accounts - Basic Account: Santander

but the DD has nothing at all to do with why they are not accepting the sort code

maybe santander have changed the sort codes and paypal has not been updated to pick them up yet.

All IS done now I do not know What happen Before i used the same Basic bank account. This looks like Any Basic bank account will works.
