going abroad what to do

Hi guys,

im going to the UK tommorow for 4-5days, and dont know how to keep my eBay "business" going, as my accounts are all Spanish, i need to login to them from the UK to access addresses, list items etc...without raising flags.

People say use VPN, but i dont know how it exactly works, then others say eBay detects all of them, what should i do ?

Ring Ebay in Spain and tell them what you are doing - also ring Paypal

Make sure cookies are installed on your laptop

via pm I told him to not mess with it, 4 days is nothing, auctions before you leave and then send stuff upon return.

if it were for longer I would do some other things inc what G to the T suggested, but I personally would not mess with or draw attention to acc for few das break...

i have some listings ending within the next 4 days, which were already scheduled, should i end the listings? should i chance just waiting till Monday to send them, or should i add some description to the listing, saying "on holiday cannot send till Monday" or would that seriously affect the price lol?

then when they sell send them from UK if you can bring them or ask a friend in spain to post for you and tell them address to put on parcel

ye thats what i thought GTB i can do that, but then how do i get the addresses hmm?, u reckon i could just use the email from paypal address

i think you should take your laptop to UK

buy a dongle for £20

and log into paypal to get addresses,tell your friend where to send and when ya get back...buy the man a pint

If your listings havn't ended and ending when you are away, make a big bold note saying items will be sent Monday or get a friend to send them for you.
It shouldn't affect prices much since you aren't asking them to wait 2 weeks before stuffs are sent.

As for logging into EB and PP, I went on vacation to Asia for almost 3 months last year. Before I left, I called PP, not EB to notify them that I would be travelling. They said no problem, note taken down. I brought my usual laptop with me. I had no problem with EB, but PP freaking suspended me after I logged on in Asia. I called PP saying I already notified them. Was told it's an automatic system when they detected new ip from different region since my address/ip had always been in the US.

paypal is a worse problem than ebay. paypal DISLIKE strange IPs being used on accounts

You phone BOTH paypal & ebay.

Advise you are going to be away for several days. Ask them for THEIR advice.

Get the name of each staffer you talk to & keep that for your records.

Make a excel sheet. Make new accounts with the dongle & list the IPs in excel.

You've known for weeks you were going away. Your ebay accounts should have been in order B4 this last minute panic.
