Length of time before ebay messages get deleted

When do ebay messages in the trash can get deleted? They use to say a delete time and date, but now they don't. So anybody knows or does it not really matter since if they are deleted from your account they still stay in ebays system?

As far as i remember its 6 months. But i may be wrong.

I would have to believe that eBay keeps them pretty much forever, or at least for as long as your account is open. I wouldn't assume that eBay can no longer see an email just because it is gone from your account. Years ago, maybe, but we live in the age of $100 per terabyte storage.

Agreed. Unless there is a law on the books that requires them to delete them, I'd imagine eBay keeps messages forever.
