Maybe with what this box of cards is worth you should just let it hang out with a buy it now/best offer for awhile. Maybe a craigslist add.. Just a suggestion. :)

Yes, we have several sports card/memoriabilia shops around us. One huge one that deals in everything sports related.

Jerseys, cards, collectibles, autograph balls, game worn jerseys, stadium seats, all the collectibles from the past and present.

Sandy-You should get the packs graded, you'll get A LOT more per pack.

RSOT-Yeah, they have dropped big time, but a lot of the originals and first hard to find cards go for MORE now, than they did now. Point in fact:

I worry about sending them out to get graded. Wondering if they will open and reseal the packs?

If you can avoid letting the 'leave' your possession.

For us (UK based) a garage sale of a couple who had lived in the same house for years, the goodies appear to be

x1 unopened 42 piece Noritake dining set

x1 unopened coffee set 12 cups & saucers & plates

BIG cedar chest of linen. 95%wrapped still & stored .
cutlery & glassware still to be checked.

It scares me to death to even think of shipping it out to someone and trust them to grade them and not tamper with them or getting lost in shipping.

Today I think I was in yard sale heaven.

Several community yard sales going on and for the first time in a long time I was shaking because there was so much stuff I wanted to grab and go to the next one.

Amazing finds today, I could not pay for it fast enough so I could move on.

DH was running the van for me and had the door opened so I could toss the items in and go to the next one.

Like a kid in a candy store and someone dropped all the 1.00 bars down for 0.01 on me.

It was yard sale heaven day for sure.

Going through my finds from yesterday.

A KISS 1977 belt buckle, new in package. Paid 0.25.

Looking for get 50.00 to 75.00 range or so for it on ebay.

I found a vintage 1940's clock the other day at a thrift store. Paid $10. It goes for $60-$100 on ebay.

I found one of the Kat Klocks a while back, my Grandmother had one in her kitchen.

Anything with the 1970s green and yellow brings good money also.

And dont forget people collect this flip number clock radios as well from the 1970s.

DH said he has a Pete Rose glove kinda like it when he was a kid.

2) Tektronix oscilloscope w/manual, $5. - expect $50.

3) Antelope Head (taxidermy) $5. - already sold for $140.

4) Huge RC Boat for parts, $15. - already sold for $100.

5) Huge Indian Kachina Doll, $30. - already sold for $200.

6) Large tool box of reloading equipment $15. - already sold for $250.

7) Bowflex, $40. - already sold for $150.

8) Mobility power chair, $200. - already sold for $600.

9) English saddle, $40. - expect $300.

10) A Very High End Electronics tester, $7. :D - expect a minimum of $1500. but will be closer to $2000.

I do not post everything but give an small posting so others can look for items that can make you some money.

Its my way to give back from all I have learned. Being a non techie person the stuff the fellow subscribers have taught me is just amazing.

It is out there, I never go a single day without finding something. Drop the kids off at school and hit the thrift stores, antique mall, flea market etc almost every day.

This week my findings on Craigslist are a box full on last generation graphics card this guy had from his out of business sale. From my estimates, he was only selling them for 1/3 of the price they would go for. The guy even let me test them on many of his desktops but I had to install them all myself.

19 graphics cards--selling price $40-$200 each--paid 300 for entire lot
