RBS Bank account

Hiya all,

I have completed the process of the bank account setup with RBS.

However, to login to the E-banking, it asks for the sort and account number of the debit card.

I just signed up for the bank account online about an hour ago, and before the completion, it said your debit card will arrive through the post.

do I have to wait for the card in order to acces online banking?

The debit card is attached to the bank account so the sort code and account number are that of the bank account.

Debit cards do not have separate sort codes and account numbers.

If you need the 16 digit card number to sign up for online banking then you'll need to wait for the card.

If you only need sort code and acc number then you already have this.

I have just spoke to customer helpline via Online chat,

and they said I would need to wait for the "customer number" through post.

the customer number is a unique number that is needed to log into the Online banking feature.
