Unhappy Payments Under Review?

I recently sent two PayPal "gifts" to other accounts. Immediately I got emails saying that the transactions are under review.

The PayPals I sent the money to were banned from ebay (dumb, I know! I shouldn't have done it!).

My question is- Should I cancel the transactions immediately?!

Yes, or else Paypal will reverse it eventually anyways.

Why did you do that? We do expect people to take reasonable precautions - were you trying to get limited for some reason?

I had done it before without any problem, for whatever reason I didn't think it would be a big deal to do it again.

The "sending" Paypal accounts shows them as Completed. Maybe I should wait it out and just never do it again? I don't know.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Both of your accounts will be scrutinized for payment reviews, better to avoid it

I have sent lately everything as goods and put something in the notes. Be creative and have had no problems or limitations. I stopped sending as gifts long time ago when I realized it flags up the account. For some reason if your sending more than $50.00 as a gift paypal thinks you should do it in person and not paypal to paypal. I don't even know why they have that option and who it applies too and how much can be sent without problems.

For more than 1 year when I have sent more than $50.00 in gifts most of the time it raises flags after a few days for me. I don't know about yall, but for me it does. Now if you don't like the fact take it or leave it. Paypal is paypal and I don't know why they have that gift option if it just raises flags.

So Ebay doesn't like the "gift" option entirely or only when linked to banned accounts?

There is nothing wrong with gift payments, as long as you don't send huge amounts or excessively frequent

I would say send less than $50.00 usd as a gift. Anything else is a risk for me. Everybody else has a different opinion.

@FanDango, personal experiences are fine.

It's when you say things like (quote):

You seem to saying something in general. I write about my experiences all the time but always keep it in context with what I am doing.

Damn silly way to transfer money IMO - upsets Paypal, raises flags = limitations and queries

Kind of negates everything we are trying to do here doesn't it?
