Simply because you are being stubborn and want to do it 'your way'.

If you want ebay accounts to run as smoothly as possible, the better method is to eliminate the factors that give grief.

No access to an address ranks high as grief ( for me).

Shall not mention more.

Costs money to make money :fight:

Here endeth the lesson :amen:

Gamefreak 03-12-2012 07:04 AM

Think outside the box and give them what they want

GrannyT 03-12-2012 08:10 AM

For every action there is an equal re-action.

Learn to think differently

While many people on this forum are very knowledgeable they can only point you in the right direction. If you are incapable of following hints then you aint going to get it.

EB/PP is a constant changing entity and the cost of creating accounts can only go up. This will affect those who think it can be done for nothing a lot more than those who are prepared to invest in their businesses.

Work arounds will need to be kept much more circumspect in the future

It will play havoc with the VERO sellers and foo-foo merchants though as everyone is going to need to take real good care of their new accounts

Now, who wants a tin hat?

GreenBean 03-12-2012 08:21 AM

Stop offering the tin hat. ;)

Indirectly that's encouraging retaining the status quo of having accounts without access to the address.

Negates the think outside of the box.

'oh look my account has a phake address but that's cool 'cos I'm wearing a tin hat.
Wait my account is limited/suspended because mail got returned.
But I'm wearing a tin hat. Why did this happen'

etc etc etc :pound::smash:

GrannyT 03-12-2012 09:08 AM

Nutter!!!:pound:

This is the best suggestion with this new procedure being implemented. Just let eBay increase it. Every month it seems to jump pretty high.

GrannyT 03-12-2012 09:18 AM

Disagree with you - there is anecdotal evidence from some people on here that they are getting stuck on 10 per month for ages.

I'm running one now to see how long it's going to take - months I'm guessing

baloch 03-12-2012 10:17 AM

the easiest way for me has been to rent a mail box and direct all mail there. I have access to it and it has never been used. Cost about $40 for 3 months. About $13 per month which is not bad.

GrannyT 03-12-2012 10:34 AM

We don't have that facility as such in the UK. We have private mailboxes but invariably they have the same post code and it's pretty obvious. Requires "outside the box" type thinking

it certainly is, i just expected (foolishly) a little more considering the hoops that ive had to jump through with this one. The only thing theyve not wanted is to inspect me internally with microscope
