Keeping Track of IP Address problem....
 

Ok so i have a couple of stealths up and running now and ive set up a Excel
(2010) Spreadsheet to keep a track of my IP Addresses.

I have it set up with a duplicate formula so if i get duplicates it flashes red. All is going well but i know at some point im going to run out of space on the Column its set up on.

I have searched the threads and Excel and for the life of me i cant find how to set the formula so it shows duplicates on both the Row and Columns.

My question to you fine people is... Does anyone know how to set up a duplicate formula on both the Rows and Columns on Excel 2010?

I don't know how to set up a duplicate formula, but alternatively if you want to be sure your new ip has not been already used you just have to do "ctrl + f" in Excel.

Which version? Find always searches whole workbook and will go to row and column of duplicate. If find says no match, your good to go. Pm me and I will send my spreadsheet workbook to you that works well for me.

Your problem is simple. You most likely use the conditional formatting tool right? If you don't then you might aswell.

It doesnt flash, but it gets highlighted red or whatever colour you choose. This is on excel 2010 by the way and will be different on pre-2007 versions.

Select all the rows + columns you want the conditions placed on and go to home>conditional formatting>Highlight Cell Rules>Duplicate values and choose whichever settings you like.

I'm such an idiot. Oversaved my own accounts file and lost 6 1year accounts as a result :( Luckily it's not my main file with the accounts I use.. just backup accounts. Still, were great accounts :(
