Default How to deal with shipping cost for returned items?

I would like to have some questions regarding returned items.
1/ My return policy require buyers pay for shipping cost. But I don't get this policy clearly. Besides that buyers need to pay for shipping when they return, does that policy also mean they have to pay for MY SHIPPING COST when I shipped?
So let's say the item costs $50 + $5 shipping fee. Do I have to refund only $50?
2/ Somebody here told that if I refund only partial, I won't get the Final value fee for the remaining amount.
In this case, I won't get the FVF back for this $5 shipping cost? It's not fair !
Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know what FVF is but the option that buyer pays shipping clearly says buyer pays RETURN shipping. So it's only the return shipping that they pay

The shipping you had paid is supposed to be refunded if you agree to a refund upon return. I believe this is what the procedure is.

1. You have to refund only $50 if there is NO CLAIM. A claim will likely force you to return all monies.
2. You will only get the FVF on the amount returned - yes if $5 is not returned, you get charged on it. Sucks but it's the truth.
