Default How to combine shipping cost without paying FVF?

A buyer wants to order 2 items and combine shipping costs. How can I combine without paying the FVF?
For example, the item is $30 and shipping cost is $10, and I want to discount $10 on shipping cost for 2 items. After the buyer bids on the item, I will send the bill of 30x2 + 10 = 70 (instead of 30x2 + 10x2 = 80).
If the buyer pays $70, will Ebay/PP charge final value fees on the amount paid by buyer ($70) or on the amount I charge on the listing ($80)?
Thanks.

Eb will charge you fvf based on the amount you sold. They have NO cut on the shipping fee. HOWEVER, PP will charge a cut based on the shipping fee + final amount total. Others will correct me if wrong.

Wait a second I remember reading something in the ebay news letter that they change this policy a few months back and now they include shipping cost into equation as well. I remember them trying to explain it as it will promote free shipping.

rsot is wrong, FVF now includes shipping fees. Some people would bypass this by charging high shipping fees and low product value, but no more.

It should be 100% of shipping and total value of product.

Sorry if I was wrong but let me get this straight then - eb charges fvf on shipping fees AND pp charges commission on shipping fees? Fug.

Paypal never charged anything for shipping, they just charged at the total amount that goes into the account. It does not matter if it was free shipping or $200 shipping for a $1 item. You get charged for total amount.
