A problem with insurance
A buyer just claims for not receiving his item on the 43th day after the sale date. I bought insurance for this item and filed a claim on the same day (which is today).
Then the insurance company will send supporting documents within 2 days and requires the form to be filled out by the buyer. They will pay for the loss after that.
As you already know, in order to get the Ebay final value fee back, sellers need to issue the refund first then cancel the order.
My concern is that today is the 43th day, if the insurance process takes several days beyond the 45th day, I am unable to cancel the order and get the final value fee back.
The only thing I know that works out is to refund buyer right away to cancel the order before the 45th day. However, once buyers received their refund, they tend not care about filling out the requested insurance form.
What should I do now? If the insurance company doesn't receive the buyer's form, will they pay for the loss?
Thanks.
