first chargeback on 6 month old account
 

going on my 6th month of stealth , feedback around 35, no negsatives, no siputes or claims until now, a buyer has done a chargeback through paypal , not for a ebay sale though, but the buyer did first contact me through paypal. anyways saying item never received, and unfortualtely i lost the usps receipt so i have no tracking to back me up and I will lose money ..but how will this affect my paypal...will they close my account?

Probably not but they may monitor it for a while to see if there are any other occurrences

If you cant find the USPS tracking you have no choice but to refund the buyer. You wont win without delivery proof. A claim that you are proactive about is not as bad as just sitting back and waiting. I always call PayPal and discuss the situation with them. It looks good on record that you are involved. But thats personal choice if you are ok calling

If its a large amount try find the tracking
If its a small amount clear it off your account and move ahead

One claim in 6 months is no real big deal. But you will need to hope no more come in for awhile.
