How would you know unless you were looking and had buyer tell you they left it and it did not show up?

You said you do not beg for feedback so you would not know unless you were looking for the feedback and it did not show.

I begged for it and got messages it was left, then when I go to the fb it is not there. So I thought the buyer was lying.

Now today I see the idea of checking the fb left so I did and it is there and the fb is now being counted.

Then I go to the fb left and it is showing as left but not counted on my scores.

How weird is that?

Tells me we have some spying eyes or something.

rsot 03-23-2012 12:58 PM

@Sandy_D, my tone wasn't accusatory in any nature but the entire thing is very weird. That's why I was trying to assess if this has happened to others.

Could have been an isolated glitch on your account - or some manual review issue.

I know that. I was not smart enough to do a dang screenshot until after it was posted here.

How odd is it that fb has been left and then does not show up?

With all the things eb is doing lately I would not put it past them to be holding back fb on accounts that are moving along quickly so when you call pp and ask why are they holding funds they have an excuse.

I just smell a rat with this for some reason.

I too wondered if anyone would noticed this but thought if you are not looking for it you would not see it.

Gman91189 03-23-2012 01:36 PM

here's the thing, if you have the same buyers within a short period of time, ebay will basically COMPILE the feedback together as ONE

so yes, everyone has experienced this before in this case

but Just a SINGLE buyer you never sold to before, i dont think i have, then again, i have about 20+ accounts and pretty hard to keep up with how many feedbacks in each account...
plus, feedback is technally not THAT important, i dont think theres much difference between, 40 and 90 feedback really.
there more i would be worried about is How old ones account is....

This period of time is known as 7 days aka 1 week.

Sneakee 03-23-2012 03:20 PM

I'm going to try and take a look for you. It won't be thorough but I'll check some buyers on all my accounts and see if there is any feedback missing.

Sneakee 03-23-2012 03:43 PM

I checked some random ones on my ids and can't find any.

Sandy - Have you noticed either a certain day all these feedback were placed?

Or maybe a certain day the sale happened?

Or timespan?

Callidus 03-23-2012 03:53 PM

Yes totally agree, I am having to beg people for feedback aswell... people either arent leaving it or something else is going on, very wierd

seanws30 03-23-2012 05:20 PM

well according to paypal they hold funds in a non interest bearing account so i dont know what they gain by holding funds longer than necessary.

but with ebay, anything is possible. i have to say i dont pay too much attention to my feedback anymore. to me it really doesnt matter. ebay is going to do whatever they want and interpret your info however they want so if i get feedback great, if not oh well.

as far as the limits on accounts go, ive been kind of slacking with my listings lately and havent really been buying and re-selling lately. but if push comes to shove, ill just open more and more accounts.

biggunn 03-25-2012 11:05 PM

Need to look into this a lot more. It could very well just be a glitch on that 1 account. Definitely get some screenshots. But seems like a glitch until we find a 2nd account out there with the same symptoms.

Sandy D 03-26-2012 12:45 AM

I am planning on doing this with another newer account with 15 or so fb to test it.

The only reason it hit me was when I asked buyers to please leave fb and when they all said they already did, I checked and it was not showing.

With me I see the sneaks doing this to keep us down and under their numbers.

Everyone needs to keep an eye on your fb on newer accounts to see if this has or is happening to you.

Yea but it seems like so far its just you with this issue so I believe it was an error or a glitch

You talking about the 21 day Paypal holds? I got mine lifted recently on a new account,
all it took was for me to put a tracking number on both eBay and Paypal during
the same day the item was paid for. Shipped it within 1 day, Paypal tracked the
package until it was delivered and voila, they lifted the holds within 6 hours
of the item being delivered. Got an official email from Paypal about the lifting.
And this was on a 7 feedback account that was less than 3 months old.

rsot 03-26-2012 10:20 AM

@Javelin, thread is about some weird feedback held from Sandy_D's account - not the 21 day hold.

This is what I'm inclined to believe at this point as well.

Callidus 03-26-2012 03:51 PM

Ok so what happens then when you have an account with 21 day holds and then when customers leave feedback on your profile does it release the funds or what's happening?!

This thread is not about the 21-day hold... Do some searches and there are also a few stickys.

Oh crap. I was wondering why I got an update message in my email
about this thread. Didn't remember posting in here...

I had multiple tabs and threads open on my browser at the time,
I must of replied to the wrong one. Haha. Idget me.

I apologize for the OT post.

Callidus 03-27-2012 09:07 AM

No what I said is related to this. I get my money earlier if customers leave feedback and I'd they don't then it does affect it, so my post is related!

rsot 03-27-2012 10:27 AM

@hdavey10, not really - there are much better posts and threads about the 21 day hold for you to post on =)

Callidus 03-27-2012 12:04 PM

It's related to the fact about customers leaving feedback so how can it not be related?!
