Default Reporting

This seller has blocked me to bid on his listings for nothing. I had never bought from him or nothing... For some reason he blocked me... I have sent him a couple of emails asking politely to what is going on.. After. Few emails later he has said he reported my message for harassing him??! I didn't do anything wrong to the guy just asking a question or 2... Will anything happen to my account or should I call eBay and tell them about it?

I do this too sometimes. When people start to ask things like "what if it breaks after 14 days?", whats wrong with it? etc, etc.... Im my experience these sales always come back to haunt me...

No sense in reporting them. Just move on...

I block people the moment I recognize them as problematic based on the questions they asked, not stereotyping but via experience. Rather lose a sale than be loaded with headaches later.
After 1 or 2 msgs asking the seller why he blocked you (Irregardless of whether he/she replies), you should have stopped sending him anymore msgs since you have no idea how long the patience of this seller could be stretched.
I think you just get a reminder/mild warning from EB for the first 'harrassment' report.
Nothing's gonna happen to your account unless you keep doing the same thing and getting reported.

I also block people that start giving me the 3rd degree about the item(s), I feel that if they have 1,000 questions which seem like they might return the item for any dumb reason then it's not worth it to me.

What? How did you get his emails?

If your tone is like some posts you do come off as whiny. Sorry.

Why would you want to attract attention to your account?

1st sign the seller was not interested you should have moved on.

Let it go

If the buyer sounds like he might be returning an item for the most simple problem then I block them.

Your posting style on here has rubbed a few members up the wrong way. In fact I always check any threads with your name on it, just in case a fight is starting.:D Perhaps the questions you sent to the seller were in a similar style?

I've had several instances where I've been annoyed by some seriously "anal" potential buyers. I just stop responding to the endless requests for information and pop them on the blocked buyers list.

Don't phone Ebay and don't contact the seller again. Move on and don't dwell on it.

Maybe this is another account and he blocked everyone from previous list. I do that when I get a new account.

Wise word of advice to the OP.
Not much you can say on here about sellers that won't give you some serious backlash.
With all do respect eBay buyers have got it made, so you all really don't have anything to complain about.

I've only had to block a few buyers due to weird and suspicious questions. One buyer that I blocked told me how to ship an item with step by step instructions. He said he must have it shipped that way.

BLOCKED

Another buyer asked what my return policy was for a $10 item that was made of plastic.

BLOCKED

I'm actually really good with answering questions but don't tell me how to do my job or ask about my return policy. Not only is it already in the auction but it's weird.

Hes in his right to block you if he even suspects a small whiff of something - i suggest you leave the seller alone and move on don't message him further unless you want e/b after you that is.

No one likes silly questions asked so it's best to block sometimes, no offense intended to you.

The seller needs to change his blocked bidder options to include: "Do not allow blocked bidders to message me". That's how I have mine set up!

I agree with the sellers above.

I think with time and experience you get an instinct for the customers who have too much time on their hand and think theyre Gods just because they have the right to return/refund. they know the ppal refund system very well and take full advantage of it. Im sure they do it all the time to other sellers. They usually spam me between 9am-5pm when most people should be at work.
Clearly theyre sexually frustrated individuals.

Interesting thought there. Now that I think about it yeah, it does seem like some of the trouble makers are on around at that time span.

Your last comment is just common sense. I mean, I can't imagine someone who isn't sexually frustrated spending their days finding people to scam whilst online.

No comment on what you did to the seller since I don't know but yes, if my instincts are up, I block beforehand - like any store, you can choose with whom you want to deal.

As for his reporting to eB of you...prob nothing to worry about.

If you absolutely want to bid on the item...stealth it up.
