There's a saying........Rome wasn't built in a day.

Neither are successful businesses.

I'm afraid my way would be far too expensive for the limited amount you are selling.

But you do not even know the value of those 100 items that I intend to sell per day, lol. Could you please disclose your method?

And which business accounts would you recommend?

SO what is so critical to your selling life you need to sell 100 items a day instantly?

I dont think the OP is thinking 'business', think they are trying to make a 'quick buck' and personally this always ends up going bad!

No, I intend to turn this into a business and into a living, and then quit my job and work from home. I have the stock now so just wanted to start as soon as I could. I will take it slowly for now but do intend to sell that many at some point.

Spread sales across many accounts to avoid closure headaches.

I would hazard a guess at no more the £1 a pop

Why would anyone disclose their business model to you?

By business accounts I assume you are referring to bank business accounts?

Search for suitable banks on the forum, the ones that are most recommended for private use are true also for business use.

There are many on here who have deep regrets about doing just that, putting their faith in e/b to make their living and from the content of your posts I guess you might end up one of them too

Guess again. £12 each for the cheapest item that I would be selling. So how the heck is that not enough at 100 per day?

And he says "I'm afraid my way would be far too expensive for the limited amount you are selling." So why advertise it if you have no intention of sharing it?

Elijah

my advice would be to start off with 2 or 3 accounts

set them up,get a feel for it,then another 3

no quick fixes in this game, the sooner you realize that the better you will feel

ppl who rush things always get hit, business account or not

business accounts dont mean you dont get looked at or get any special treatment

maybe after some time but not from the off

All right then. I have read that some business bank accounts allow you to open sub-accounts underthem, which could be used for stealth purposes. Would anybody know which ones in the UK allow this?

I think you are refering to the fact that payments can be made into a business account under other names - provided of course that your bank are happy with that.

On our farm account we can receive payments from our Egg company, our livestock company and a farmers market account that we have. The point being the bank know us, know how we operate and know where the money is coming from. (The fact we owe them squillions of quids also helps)

But it's all on the same account number - just different trading names for cheques inward etc.

Elijah, you are trying to do far too many things at once from a great height without a solid foundation in place to support that base from the outset.

Build your basic foundation, get that right & build from there.

25 accounts ...LOL!!!

I hope your customer service skills are up to scratch AND you have 23 hours a day spare.

How would you even have enough hours in the day to reply to emails/leave feedback/deal with returns/list new items/print packaging labels/package items/post items?? - Good Luck with that!....oh and listen to the advice from the established forum members.

If that is what it takes to turn this into a full-time job and make a good living, I will do it.

I failed their credit check for some reason. I was told that it is perhaps because I have never applied for a credit card before, so they do not have anything to judge me by.
