if you never had credit, that will be an issue for the current accounts

although there are basic accounts for people with bad or no credit history

work just as well:)

That's exactly why you failed the check, you have no history of proving your ability to service a debt. You are an unknown 'risk".

On top of that if you have been making lots of applications for bank accounts they see that as suspicious activity which increases the risk factor.

In this world having no credit history is judged in pretty much the same way as having a bad credit history.

I never had a problem with Nationwide, Natwest or Halifax current accounts though. And my last application was a long time ago. Maybe HSBC do something differently?

GreenBean 04-15-2012 04:47 AM

The banks you are already using are just as good for business and stealth. :juggle:

Instead of going out and making bank accounts have you written out a business plan?

you need to adjust your plans now.

Banks are not 1st on the list.

I would strongly recommend you do a lot more reading.

Might be a surprise but the answers to your plans are on the forum.....

See what you can find. :spy:

I'll give you a clue. Here We Go Again....

feel free to pm me ;)

All right then, so it seems 2 eBays to 1 Paypal is going to be the best way to get around to doing this. That would be much more manageable for the bank accounts, but then I am still limited by the receiving/withdrawal limit in Paypal.

I hit the £1900 limit on my stealth account from August in just over 2 days, a week ago, and it was limited after that (I was able to withdraw all the cash though). So I have simply stopped selling for now. I would really like to get back up and running again.

Surprise, surprise

I would lift the limits myself but do not know where to start. Could somebody give me some guidance?

GTB 04-15-2012 04:15 PM

Nobody else but you can lift the limits.

Click on 'Raise Limits' in p/p and then give them what they ask for.

I thought that was obvious. But I do not know where to start with the documents. I would not be able to use my one passport for all of my accounts for example, would I? Would the photograph not be seen as identical each time that I submit it?

somebody put him out of his misery.

A message has been given to the OP......their choice as to what action they do or dont do.

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the UK. I am a USA seller.

I love your ambition. I love your goals. I love the fact that you want to explode onto the scene and take over your market. Realistically, that's what we all want to do.

I currently have over 100 bank accounts open in the USA. I walk into a bank and sit down with a personal banker and tell them I'd like to open 25 savings accounts. I tell them I want no monthly fee. If they ask any questions, I tell them I am a web-page designer and I use each account for a different client and give them the routing/account number so they can deposit my paycheck on a monthly or bi-montly basis, and at the same time I can keep my accounting in order for all my different clients for accounting and tax purposes at the end of the year.

Understand, in the US most personal bankers are paid on commission of some kind. The more accounts they open successfully, the more money they make. Upon hearing this explanation, most bankers will be THRILLED to help you, because it means they make 25x the commission they would make otherwise and they have heard a reason that's "good enough" for them to ignore any safeguards they might have had against such actions.

I hope this helps your issue.

Do I need a bank account for every stealth account or can I just use a vcc??

GreenBean 04-17-2012 06:52 AM

@levi,

Both. Bank account lets you get your funds. CC confirms address with paypal

You need to read much more B4 you consider making an ebay/paypal account.

When you are ready make your own thread :peace:

Sadly this would not be feasible with current UK banks and to a degree, UK paypal.:mod:

levi6482 04-17-2012 07:23 AM

Ok i have read ebay stealth guide...but does not say that eb & pp addresses need to be the same?? This true??

NoneOther 04-17-2012 08:17 AM

If they're not then the accounts won't last very long.

rsot 04-17-2012 08:41 AM

@levi, if your addresses dont match up - could be cause for concern by eb - think about it.

levi6482 04-17-2012 08:47 AM

Yes i'm just clarifying my houghts thanks all
