Business account with stealth details?

Hello, how would I upgrade my eBay UK account to a business account with stealth details (in order to sell over 100 items per month)? Is this possible?

NoneOther 04-03-2012 07:48 AM

Yes it is possible but it does not guarantee that your selling limits will be increased automatically as a result of doing so.

It's all new rules, new game.

rsot 04-03-2012 08:51 AM

Welcome to the forums - NoneOther is correct - you can try but it may not automatically lift the limits.

Best to go with slow reputable activity. All the best.

NoneOther 04-03-2012 09:48 AM

Also depending on what you are selling it may even prompt them to ask you to provide supplier invoices and further details about your business.

Tread very carefully is my advice.

I switched the account type, and now it says "Business Seller" but the holds are still there. There must be some way around this?

NoneOther 04-03-2012 01:22 PM

Sorry to disappoint you but there isn't.

Oh! there is!

Open more ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts :thumb:

All right, I know that is a solution, but wouldn't I need more Paypal account to go along with each new eBay account?

I need to sell 100 items per day at least, and was thinking about doing 20 per day from 5 eb/pp account combos. Could I really just open 5 new bank accounts in one go?

Sandy D 04-04-2012 12:13 AM

For me I suggest 1 eb to 1 pp.

You always need to be thinking ahead.

If you need 5 make 10 etc.

Elijah 04-04-2012 03:05 AM

Wow, I wrote 5 up there. It was really late. I meant 25 accounts, but would I really be able to open 25 bank accounts? That seems to be the main limiting factor.

NoneOther 04-04-2012 03:39 AM

Yes, if your savvy enough.

Elijah 04-04-2012 03:40 AM

How do you recommend I go about opening that many accounts?

Callidus 04-04-2012 04:46 AM

Still wishing I could get my head round this problem im still having with being able to get that many bank account ! hmm :ranger:

You cannot open 25 private bank accounts without attracting attention. In order to get where you are trying to get you will need to invest a significant amount of money on each account - in excess of £200 - it can be done but it's devilishly expensive and you really do need all your little ducks in a row.

Suggest you start with one and go from there - you need a serious dose of thinking outside the box to get this one to fly

Do you mean withdrawals into the accounts?

What number of 'private accounts' would you recommend before questions are asked?

GrannyT 04-04-2012 05:19 AM

No - that was set up costs

I cannot advise on the number of private accounts you can open as I don't have the experience or knowledge - sorry

Elijah 04-04-2012 05:37 AM

Would a business account with the bank be any better?

GrannyT 04-04-2012 05:46 AM

IMO business accounts are always better

:ranger:

Elijah 04-04-2012 05:50 AM

Do you have any recommendations?

Nobody can answer that because how many you can eventually have would be down to your personal circumstances and also how previous and existing accounts are being run.

Why would a private individual need 25 bank accounts, they wouldn't.

It's not the number of accounts that's the key but the type of accounts.

As GT says......time to step outside the box to think

BTW I'd check your maths on that if I were you

To sell 100 items a day at 20 per account = 5 accounts not 25 :>

Your first calculation was correct :thumb:

Elijah 04-04-2012 05:58 AM

I know that, but to do it throughout the month almost continuously is why I came up with 25. I would use a set of 5 per day, the next set the next day and so on, until I got to about 25 days in the month and used up my allowance. Then I would use the remaining days in the month to take time off/restock.
