I am a UK seller. I sell an item to a US buyer last Sunday. I dispatch the item on Monday 2nd April via Airmail.
Buyer leaves neutral feedback last night, claiming "Item not received yet".
Given the Easter holiday celebrated in both US and UK, words fail me that someone can be this idiotic. It has only been 4 working days since dispatch!! As usual there was no prior email before the feedback was left.
Remaining calm and trying to reason with these morons really takes some doing. I will however bite my tongue in the hope that the buyer agrees to revise. |
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

still a neutral can be just as frustrating when it is completely unjustified
although it does not affect your feedback percentage, still a blip on your account and if you aim for 100% positives,it can be very annoying

Up your sales volume to push the ratio of positives up - dont let one neutral phase you. If it's that bothersome, I would suggest start building stealths.

The account has got over 400+ seller feedback in the last 6 months and I've got around 30 other stealth accounts at the moment.
.....thanks anyway, it's the thought that counts. :D

None of us like neutrals especially if we did not deserve it.

Why doesn't Ebay allow us to leave neutral or negative fb to buyers?
Some buyers really deserve them.
I think a buyer having 50 fb or 100 fb say nothing because that just means they buy a lot, that doesn't say anything about their buying performance.

Some scamming buyers, even if you look at their feedbacks left for others, as long as they don't leave any negatives so that sellers can respond, there's no way you can know that they are scammers.
Just like my previous TRS buyer. Stole my stuffs but looking at her feedback, she doesn't leave negs, how do you suppose other sellers will know that she scams?
I dislike neutrals and reds equally. But oh well, some buyers are idiots, have no patience and no matter what you do, they aren't pleased.

I gave up on feedback and its importance years ago once they took away a sellers right to leave a negative for a buyer.

I agree with that BSZone - the fact that you can't reciprocate sucks - AND it allows professional scumbag buyers to prosper.
If an account of mine goes down to neg feedbacks, just keep a succession amount of accounts to replace.

Just so you guys know,,,Internally,EBay Views Neutral Feedback as a "Negative Buying Experience" for the buyer,,Over the Years I have been told that by More than One Ebay rep on the phone in those EXACT words,,,which indicate to me that it is Policy,,,,,and if it comes down to it,,that Neutral could be the difference in an account surviving scrutiny that may be bought upon it from some other Unrelated issue
As for the other "Side" topic,,,I recently read an article in the Wall Street Journal which basically said that because of a Combination of "dramatically" Increased online buyer fraud, and High fees,,sites like Amazon and Ebay are for the first time, NO Longer a Viable option for comsumers to save money purchasing the VAST majority of NEW items that are offered for sale,,,,That the usefullness for sites like these is quickly being relegated to places where Old, Used, Obsolete, and refurbished Items can be found if you need them, and that if you want something new that you could get a Better deal from your local Brick-N-Morter establishment
Just food for thought,,,,

I buy all my stuff on eBay, really all my stuff because I hate people and would rather just order it online. Or maybe I am just lazy? | |
