davey,
Stop selling copies asap... Make 100% sure you do not have anymore in your home or business. The evidence they have at this point (hopefully) is one.

If they only have 1 that is still enough to put me in deep water though?
I think I will be seeking out items that are NOT copies and start to make a legitimate side to a business! Live and learn the hard way, thanks for all the advice above!

All the best.

Good deterrence.
But i've seen alot of companies buy undercover - i guess different companies different method.

They may well have bought more than one but through other accounts.
Standard tactic for gaining evidence, Trading Standards do it all the time.

any good investigation is complete stealth/undercover
if he was been investigated as a potential big fish to fry, there's no way they would jeopardize the investigation by buying from him with the companys ebay account
they would gather all evidence and surprise him

They may already have done it undercover.
Why buy under their real name? To see if you are smart enough to actually have some genuine items maybe.
Getting rid of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stock becomes irrelevant if they already have sufficient evidence to prosecute. As one poster has already said rights owners have different 'tolerance' levels on what is enough of a breach for them.
If they then involve trading standards they are legally obliged to investigate further and they can dig much deeper than the rights owners. They can go where you really don't want them to i.e banks, suppliers, the lot.
For them its a house of cards, by pulling a few out from the bottom you eventually bring the whole lot down.
For the rights owner it's the bigger picture they are looking at not just one isolated instance and in this economic climate they are looking really hard.

Very strange tactic, sounds like a company who hasn't got much experience perhaps with dealing with cases like this.

I'm going product hunting tomorrow searching unbranded non trademark items, of there is such a thing that can make good money.
Research for me!

To be honest if you sell phakes you are going to get busted one way or another sooner
or later. And if i bought from EB and found it to be phake id report then too cos i would
not want to part with my hard earned money for something that is worth pence.
I have no sympathy for anyone that hides behoind stealth to sell ****e products on EB it
is because of these exact listings that people selling genuine products are banned
within a few listings and why stealth has been created in the first place.
Im sorry but i hope you get that knock on the door and learn from your lesson.

Getting caught selling that stuff anyways is a slap on the wrist regardless.

Comes down to BUYER BEWARE.
Sellers looking for goods to onsell have a responsibility to THEMSELVES to ensure such goods are acceptable to be sold.
Simples.

UPDATE:
The agent for the company obviously received the item but have opened a case on eBay, stating they have changed their mind and would like to return it.
They have also put a message in with the case, it states; "Dear Seller, Thank you for my recent purchase, which has now arrived. However, my daughter seems to have changed her mind, and decided to purchase a different item in a different colour. I am happy to post this back to you, however, are you able to give me your address to post it to? Sorry for any inconvenience caused, please inform me when the amount it refunded. Looking forward to your reply."
This account was my first ever account I made when learnt stealth and the address is a shopping mall address with a made up name.
Do I accept or decline the return request OR any advice on what to do?

Do I accept or decline the return request OR any advice on what to do? | Email them back telling them that they can have the refund and that they don't need to return the item.
Accept the return case and then immediately process the refund.
They can get you stealth address easily anyway by requesting it through Ebay, so don't worry about accepting the return.
Are you continuing to sell said counterfeit crap or have you removed the listings from Ebay?

Why the heck did they open a case? I thought that you are under no obligation to accept a return for change of mind, so no case is possible in this instance.
