Default Barclays Savings ISA Account ?

OK

Guys anyone have Barclays ISA Savings Account linked with PP in UK ? I have stealth pp and I have managed to link ISA acc with pp without any problem two deposits from PP went thru and acc is verified ... great but...

i started to be a bit worried, this is the first time I am withdrawing some funds from this acc and they go directly into saving acc.. its not a huge sum its 500 £ but i am waiting 5th day to get it.

PP account says transfer is completed. but there is no money on Barclays Acc for now yet.

does this take longer to transfer funds on saving account ?

like few days ago status on pp was pending.. and know its completed so shall i calculate 4 working days since transfer status is completed ? and wait longer ?

sorry to mess around but I could not find any topic with ISA saving account.

There was a thread very recently regarding the pros and cons of using an ISA on p/p.

You couldn't have searched very hard

4-5 working days is safe. NoneOther also suggests well with the search forum function.

This topic always crops up.

Relvent threads include:

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-payp...stealth-2.html

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-ebay...-use-them.html

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-ebay...-cash-isa.html

Possibly more - but i think that first one is the best regarding ISA.

ok I read Barclays Terms and Condition of ISA.. it says clearly u can withdraw or pay in or out of this account... there are some certain limits. but this should not affect PP I think.

so far my 300 gone from PP and they are not in ISA and PP .. if something wrong they usually reverse funds. I read all those articles Thankful ;] Thanks for that.

some ISAS are not working hm its weird. but they accepted first two deposits.

no one mention about barclays. :/ hmm shame I will keep you updated when money will go thru

The dreaded misuse of the ISA is a worry.

How is it a misuse of the ISA if you do not go over the allowance and use only one at a time. They told me at Barclays that using Paypal to withdraw up to the allowance into the account would be no problem.

Your withdrawal should go through fine but the problem that you will encounter is that ISA and most savings accounts do not support the direct debit facility. I know this from personal experience with Barclays. The pp deposits will go in so you can verify- but a few weeks later pp will remove the bank account details when the direct debit instruction fails. PP are not going to be happy if they do not have a direct debit in place and you will probably be asked to add another bank account.

Every account will accept deposits initially but if the account is not allowed to have a DD mandate attached then the bank will eventually remove it and similarly p/p will remove the bank account.

You will then have to add another account to which you can withdraw after having gone through the verification process yet again. That's why savers are generally not recommended. It makes p/p very nervous when your dd mandates keep getting rejected.

We all know what happens when p/p get nervous about accounts.

When the dd mandate gets removed and p/p remove the account then you will have to add another bank account that to be able to withdraw.

That's because they're not allowed to have them

If using a Barclays saving account or any other saving account, and PP kick the account after a while, can you spend the PP balance (as in purchases of eB), instead of making a withdrawal?

And i know 100% you are wrong.

Some are payment accounts and some are none payment types.

even some savers accept dd's if you look hard enough.

the main thing here is that you have a limit for the year, so if you added funds by what ever means and withdraw any you lose the tax free benefit on the amount withdrawn.
