simon giftAccount is not available anymore?

i went to the simon website and it said that the simon giftaccount is no longer available. so i need to know if the regular simonGift card will work for verifying paypal and ebay. thanks.

The regular Simon Gift card is just like a gift account except you don't get it immediately. Yes, the Simon Gift card will work.

It should still work even though it is no longer available to purchase.

You can still order a new Giftaccount at simongiftaccount.com.

if you go to the simon site and click on faq, frequently asked questions, it says the simon giftAccount is no longer available. but thanks to the 2 replies i have received so far, which say that the regular simon giftcard will work also, i will try buying the regular simon giftcard and hopefully it will work just like the simon giftaccount does. has anyone recently, actually verified their paypal with the simon giftcard and not the simon giftAccount. if so please let me know. thanks.

I just went to my local Simon mall (7/5/12) and wanted to purchase a Simon Visa GC. I was told they only sell Visa GCs to corporate accounts and they only offer AMEX for all other customers.

I then went to Target and purchased a Visa GC. It would only let me register the zip code online and PP rejected the card. The beginning numbers on the Target Visa CG are: 4718 and the expiration is 02/21.

Now to search the forum and find another supplier of a GC to add to my PP account.

UPDATE:

I went to Walgreens and found a Vanilla GC with an expiration date of 04/21. It was in "Congrats" packaging. When I opened the packaging to look at the card thankfully it began with 4847 and it worked to verify my PP account.

You used to be able to see some info on the VV cards but they changed the packaging.

Conflicting reports on Simon, many people have tried and have not been able to get it to work.

For a while it was not working at all.

I can't even get Simon cards at the mall closest to my home. I'm not sure if other malls in my area are still selling the Visa cards or if all Simon locations no longer sell Visa cards (except to their corporate clients).
