they_screwed_me_too 05-02-2012 10:11 AM

at one point whilst on hold after almost 2 hours i did REALLy lose my temper with the fool on the phone

then i asked him to hold so i could go outside and scream lol

oompaloompa 05-02-2012 12:44 PM

had that conversation last month with them...

anyone seen the Simpsons episode where Homer calls the Mr Sparkle factory? similar...

clapclap 05-02-2012 12:57 PM

It just goes to show why people get limited when we have these muppets looking at our

accounts and they dont have a clue what they are looking for or what they are doing.

Id love to work for Eb undercover:spy: it must be so easy to get a job there.

I can imagine the interview now.... im sat opposite a 18 year old manager holding flash

cards up with pictures of a cat on and i have to say the animal on the card. I think i

would get the job

ovidiu 05-02-2012 01:51 PM

Anyone see that other Paypal limited site where they had the cartoon of the limiting department, with the monkeys throwing darts at the board to pick a reason for limiting the account?

jrvs 05-02-2012 04:12 PM

pretty sure the call center is in another country.. and they read off a script..

Think the OP said he was speaking to the UK side of ebay.

But I agree about the being offshore.

I try to avoid that agony.

rsot 05-03-2012 09:52 AM

Offshore agents tend to have no idea what's going on.

I'm sorry to hear about the negative feedback you received from your buyer and you'd like to remove it as you feel its undeserved. I'll be happy to check it for you. While I'm reviewing your account, are there any additional concerns you would like me to address for you today?

Don't worry as I'll be happy to assist you on this matter. So please hold on for 3 - 5 minutes while I check it for you.

they_screwed_me_too 05-03-2012 02:34 PM

just got this email fro the original MONKEY i spoke too

Hi,

This is in regard to the negative feedback that you received for item number: ********** from your trading partner ****.

I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with the Feedback you've received from your buyer. It can be quite frustrating to get negative Feedback when you feel it's undeserved.

We’ve checked the comment you’ve received and I’m afraid it doesn’t fit our criteria for removal. As

Feedback is another member’s opinion; we don’t remove, edit or change the comments if the recipient believes it to be untrue or unfair, unless the comment is abusive.

I can provide you with a link to our help pages if you like? From there you can find out more information about what we and won’t remove.

Here is the link to our Feedback Removal policy:

eBay: Redirect

Let me list the alternative options available to you:

1. You can ask the buyer to revise the comment they left for you.

2. You can add a reply to the comment you’ve received.

3. You can complete the Notice of False and Defamatory content, if you believe that the comment is Defamatory.

Feedback Revision

Under certain circumstances, sellers can ask their buyers to revise the neutral or negative Feedback they’ve left. You must first communicate with the buyer within 30 days of receiving the Feedback and clearly explain the reason you want the feedback revised. You can access the Request Feedback Revision page from the Feedback Forum or from the recent Feedback page on My eBay.

Would you like me to provide you with a link to access the Request Feedback Revision page?

Copy the link below into a new browser and scroll down to “Submitting a Feedback revision request”:

How sellers can request Feedback revisions from buyers

How to reply to a Feedback comment:

If you’d like to reply to the Feedback, to let other members know that you believe the comment to be untrue, you can do so if you copy the link below into a new browser and follow the on screen instructions.

Responding to Feedback and adding follow-up comments

Notice of False and Defamatory content

If you feel that material has been posted on our site which defames you, we will take appropriate action.

To download a copy please copy and paste the below URL into a browser:

Defamation claims

When you file a Notice of False and Defamatory content only the comment from this feedback will be removed and not the rating, the rating will remain on your account.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter. I hope I've explained this clearly. I wish you continued success trading on eBay.

Kind regards,

eBay Customer Support
