About Bestbuy, i see that they require a billing adress to complete order. and i have a stealth adress in a different state to where i' be picking up at. would paypal flag this and again limit me. or would i be in the clear to do a pick-up order from bestbuy? please keep in mind that my account is pretty new. thanks and any answer is appreciated!

Why take the chance? At this juncture no one seems to know for certain how this buying with Paypal and collecting is panning out. You have seen the posts made already so - why take the chance?

What are people buying at Wal-Mart that they feel the need to use Paypal?

Diapers perhaps?

MM78 05-28-2012 04:50 PM

with paypal? lol, I think if I was going to buy something at Wal-Mart it would be something a little more desirable! but who am I to say what people buy with paypal.

punkskier 05-28-2012 05:06 PM

paypal and walmart both suck! since this mess i'm out over $500! but as i said, i can complain all i want but thus is the rule "live and learn".. lesson learned for sure!.. once a stealth account is limited dnt even bother calling, your banned for sure.

prohoops 05-28-2012 05:59 PM

Once again i'm telling you what I know about the bestbuy thing. Just did it today with the stealth account. I had to buy a cell phone for an employee who lost his phone.

So over the last two weeks I've purchased about $500 from bestbuy with the stealth account. Desk, Chair, Cell Phone, Office table etc. And they have not asked one question.

I bought my office phones from Circuit City, and they never asked any questions.

STAY AWAY FROM WALMART using PayPal. Like I said I have my stealth account in my dad's name, and they called him, and asked did him did he use PayPal to buy something off there website. He told them no. They canceled the order. PayPal did not limit the account.

My dads number is not listed any where online (I checked.) So how walmart got his number and called him still blows my mind.

If you try it after reading what I'm telling you, then your asking for them to limit your account, and freeze your money.

update: Bestbuy caused another stealth to become limited, about 2 hours after i paid, so the payment never went thru, paypal obviously redflagged it and put a hault on it, then limited my account. i know it was another crazy risky move, but had to try with this smaller account buying a cheaper item to test for myself. there are other reports of people in the same boat buying on Bestbuy as well. i'm glad some like prohoops ha luck, wish i did :(

I want to try bestbuy soon for getting money out of my stealth paypal. I wonder if anyone knows of any websites to get visa gift cards for in store pickup paying with paypal?

MM78 06-01-2012 04:40 PM

@Nissan2r22, that sounds super risky but If your willing to try it, let us know how it goes.

Just to clarify....

Who has purchased from Home depot, Walmart or Best buy WITH 100% MATCHING DETAILS to stealth pp and been limited?

Not shipping to a PO box or other accessible address that matches what a confirmed pp has on file is probably the big red flag getting people instantly limited.

I used this cashout method a while ago, it used to work like a charm. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it has kind of been used to death at this point. However, when I was last attemting to cashout via Walamrt a few months ago, my Paypals wouldn't get limited, they simply wouldn't process the order. Walmart would decline the transaction, saying to use a different payment method other than Paypal. I have a feeling Paypal runs a soft credit check or the like now before letting someone make a purchase through Walmart.com and if it comes back as a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name/address, the order will be declined.

Now that is very risky.

Especially if you are selling a ton of stuff.

punkskier 06-04-2012 09:49 PM

yes, i've tried the giftcard thing, and most sellers refuse to do so.. even sellers that have egift as their title, and clearly state in their listing that the giftcard will be emailed, even they end up wanting to send thru mail and refuse to proccess thru email :(.. what it's gonna take is we message and make a deal with someone on here to list an item (not neccessarly having to be a giftcard) premake a deal with them on which giftcard you want, and they send it to you email.. otherwise sellers are all the same they don't wanna email no way!

yeah for sure because ebays rules no virtual items plus they are taking a huge risk because they could just email it to you and than if you spend it real quick and than open a case they are opening themselves up for a huge risk.

punkskier 06-05-2012 01:13 PM

Right, so here's the idea for people like me that have no other alternative to cashout but using giftcards. Lets say I wanted to cashout $200.. Ok, so i'd make a deal with someone on here that has no problem cashing out! so they would list a random ebay item (other than a gift card, since ebay watches those closley) make the starting price for $200, I would bid on it and they would end the auction early so I would be the definate winner.. ok so considering ebay and paypal fees together are roughly 13%, and of course for your time and effort you would wanta make about $20 or so on the deal to profit yourself... to cover the fees and for some money yourself you would charge about $250-$260 in all.. add the extra $50-$60 charge in with shipping.. splended idea!

punkskier 06-05-2012 01:16 PM

so then in the end, the seller can buy the giftcard you wanted at the store, and email it to you..
