Selling unbranded items
 

For those of you who dont sell vero, and only sell branded items.... Do you have (if any) many issues with your account? ie violations etc.

Reason is i'm sick of getting these violations, small selling limits etc and i'm thinking of moving over from the dark side!

Any input appreciated

Branded items can also come under E/Bs scrutiny unfortunately.

You can sometimes be asked to provide receipts of goods.

A good way to try to avoid this is to take plenty of photos from different angles on the item in question - asure your buyers and anyone else viewing (the owners) that your items are genuine.

Have proof of the items purchase incase E/B P/P ever ask for it.

Branded goods have their perils as we all know but unbranded items are not immune e.g buyer dissatisfaction with quality can be a big negative because they generally compare it to the branded equivalent.

Well i sell unbranded stuff myself no problems at all - i think generally not many problems with unbranded stuff.

Be careful with the quality - be prepared to get neutrals and negs due to the quality, so maybe get samples first.

It also depends on what you are selling of course - but generally unbranded stuff have no problems.

Ok thanks alot. I've been selling vero for over 4 years and its got to the point where I just can't handle the stress of all the violations, take downs etc. It send me into mild depression every time!

On the upside though, I reckon i've learnt the ins and outs of selling on ebay the hard way, so unbranded items should be a damn sight easier from now on. Just need to find my niche first :help:

Eh don't let it get you down though,

E/B doesn't deserve an ounce of depression, they deserve a good kick up the backside.

Even the big guys have problems with vero stuff - it's just E/B can be more lenient on them as they don't want to lose big business and be on the paper the next day :boink:

Yerrr, it is horrible though at times!

Hopefully this time in 6 months i'll be through the woods and back making good money again - without the headaches!
