Co-Op Bank questions

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/subscri...called-me.html

Since we've a group of co-op bank customers who posted I thought I would jump in with a few questions about them.

1) Does anyone know how to check what is their current address on file with them? I'm a bit confused because once, I had them send something to me overseas but I do not know if they actually changed my address in their system.

2) I have a basic current account with them. I want to open another account with a new account number so I can use it for a new stealth acc. I am thinking of opening a new savings account. However, I am not in the country and I am not a UK resident nor citizen.
Will I be able to open a second acc while out of the country? Obviously, I have already submitted the required documents to them when I opened my current acc previously.
When you open a second account with them, do they ask you to submit documents again and do you have to go to the bank in person?

Thanks!

"Information for non-UK mainland customers

Non-UK mainland residents who wish to apply for Co-operative Bank current accounts, loans, credit cards or mortgages should contact our Offshore Banking Centre in Guernsey, email: guernsey@co-operativebank.co.uk or telephone +44 1481 710527.

Online applications cannot be accepted from non-UK mainland residents.

Individual products may have specific criteria and are subject to status and conditions. Please see the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions of the product you are interested in.
"

Why don't you contact them for more information? by email or phone which ever you prefer, if you are worried, email them - ask them everything you want to know.

I saw that...
You see, in their eyes, I am a UK mainland resident because I opened my basic current account with proof of address in UK (utility bill in my name and UK address).
The purpose they want a utility bill as proof of address is to proof that you are a resident.
UK banks ONLY give accounts to residents.
That Guernsey centre is for dealing with UK residents who are not residing on the mainland - they still are UK residents... those in the islands, etc.
It's a bit tricky in my case.
I think it could be possible to open another account as being their customer for 1 year now gives me some level of credibility, I suppose.
