Default Co-op bank just called me.

So a lady at the co-op bank just called me and asked is it a convenient time to talk with you?

I said i'm rather busy right now, can you call back tomorrow.

Should i have any reason to be worried you think? only been with co op about 2 months.

Perhaps i should of asked why but didn't want to make it sound like i'm suspicious.

I really do hope it's not about the mismatching names

Either way i'm ready to argue my case if it is :D

Any else ever got a call from co op? perhaps it's a welcome check up call which i havn't yet got... only time will tell now.

Could be marketing - could be survey - man...difficult to guess - don't sweat it. Just wait and find out during the next call

Cheers guy yeah i know i shouldn't worry but plays on your mind a little.

"is it a convenient time to talk with you?"

Makes me think it's not really important perhaps a survey or something.

However if its not i may need a good reason as to why someone elses name is on the payment coming through - perhaps i could say i had a friend selling a few items for me on ebay - like i said it, it is a new account only done with 3 deposits.

I'll update you guys when the call comes again.

Standard procedure with new accounts, it's generally a welcome call and to see if you want to use their current account switching service.

What Would you people say to a bank ringing you to ask why a name does not match.

It would be interesting to have a few ideas in my head if i do ever get a unexpected call.

CO-OP tend to be more pro-active with customer service.

High chance it's a Hello how are and can we do anything better for you marketing type call.

Usually if it's more sinister the nuances are much different

Co-op wants to know your secrets so they can add them to their customer profile.

Does he hum while he pees?
Does he floss his teeth at night?
etc.

Then they will send you customer-tailored services and products from their "partners" and make you feel they are doing their best to take care of you
