Anybody reinstated from indefinite suspension?
 

Hello all..just wondering if anybody here has ever been automatically reinstated from an indefinite suspension? I had been given selling restriction, only buying on my original account since last september. They said it was indefinite and would,not be reversing their decision. Anybody have any luck having their account reinstated, for anything other than low dsrs?

Some have, most are not. If you get into hot water with them early you might as well just start off fresh and build a new established account. Learn from your mistakes, since most times it will not happen twice.

I was suspended. Then got buying back. The rep i spoke with in december told me that he thought it was "a good possibility" that i could sell again. I spoke with him 2 times in december. I emailed again back in april and got a generic email response from another rep, said they would not reverse their previous decision. I don't know who to believe. The first guy i spoke with was in upper management, his name has come up in the press a few times already. Don't know why he would lie to me. So we will see. Im still making a new fresh account just in case.

Just create a new stealth account, and whatever you got suspended for dont do it again. Many people are very ignorant when it comes to selling, and they dont learn from their mistakes and then come on here and complain. For example they will sell phake stuff get suspended, create a new account and get suspended, and it is a continuous cycle. Just create a new STEALTH account, and do it the right way by following their rules. You can always bend the rules a tad, but that is a whole different story.

I understand. I broke the rules, because i didnt research enuough. I wouldnt be dumb enough to do it again. I only sell from time to time. If i sell again, i plan on playing only by the rules.

Not usually automatic - you have to press up with chat or emails.

I have but it has been a couple of years now.

I want to try and get back an old account lost 2 yrs ago. Should I call, chat, or e-mail?

I'm in the same boat. I sold a 50" hdtv on ebay. The guy came and picked it up, then about 1 month later he opened a case against me, saying he hasn't received the item. I couldn't really do anything, and he won the case. I didn't pay that amount, just opened a few other accounts(probably 2 or 3) after my original acc got limited, but I wasn't aware of things like ip address, cookie linking so all of them got limited. They sent me a few letters about the money I "owe" them, but I still haven't paid it and I don't want to pay for it. I got indefinitely banned, I can only buy on my original account. Do you think if I pay, then I will get reinstated?
I've only talked to one ebay rep about 1 year ago. I'm sure if I ask them about it, they will say yes for everything just to make sure they get the money..
Has anyone ever had success in a similar case?
