Default Sending PayPal to Chinese Account

I have been talking with a company in China to start importing some products. If I sent them money via PayPal, would this cause PayPal to look at the transactions, review my account, or cause any blips on the radar whatsoever?

I do not want to risk my business at all. I have no experience sending money from PayPal to overseas accounts so am not sure what sort of effect it may have on the account.

Any knowledge is much appreciated!

Do not send from a Paypal account that you sell on (receive payments on). So long as the pp account is only used for buying items, it should be okay.

Okay...another question for you. I have 1 PayPal account fully verified and legit that I have had for like 6+ years. It was a personal account of mine but I upgraded to business account since I started selling.

I have been planning on opening a secondary PayPal account for personal use (no selling). Is this OKAY to open a 2nd account like this, and would it be okay for me to send my Chinese supplier money from my personal account. I would rather PayPal not think that this person is my supplier as I just passed some invoice checks from them and everything was perfect. I would rather keep it that way.

Thanks for the input!

For buying, generally ok but keep selling etc SEPARATE - go stealth if you have to. Yes - I believe in the phrase "if it isnt broken, dont fix it"!

I'm with rsot on this, you don't want the risk of paypal limiting your real account for no reason. When in doubt, go stealth

Yea definitely very very easy to create a pp buying account. Just make all details different or you will be linked anyway...

I opted to have one of my friends send my supplier money while I am testing them out. I will have to make me another personal account used just for buying.

Just so I am clear, it is OKAY to have another PayPal account with the same information used JUST for BUYING (even from a chinese supplier). This won't cause any problems with the other account right?

there no reason you cannot pay your china supplier with paypal, it is a normal thing and it protects you somewhat too.....

I used to use PP to pay my suppliers in China, but this was through the same PP as I was receiving payments into (before I knew anything abut stealth!)

There are two very well known B2B's sites that I now use, that although they accept PP I prefer to pay directly from by bank account as the payment is held by ESCROW and only released once I have confirmed receipt of the goods and that I am happy with them

Might be worth asking your supplier if they trade on a site like this as then you can check their previous sales, feedback and it gives the added security of the ESCROW

When creating a BUYING PAYPAL do you need to add a bank account and get fully verified etc or can you just start sending money without a bank account and just go with the limits they implement... any advice?

Depends how much you want to buy. If you want to purchase more than the sending limit allows then you'll need to add a bank account to verify.

Just to confirm I am talking about UK paypal.

May I ask what the main reason is for not using your selling account to buy items from china?

If the items are legit and you are selling these legit items what is the issue?

Probably best to only do it a couple of times and then us bank transfer as it will be cheaper

The reason is the existence of this forum.

Is there a reason why they ban as it does sound a bit iffy saying if you buy from China you will get banned.
