Default Can sellers do this?

So i waited to bid on a few auctions from the USA last night on ebay,
It was 4am when this one auction in particular ended, I was SMASHED.
So i bid on it and went to bed.
The auction said ' ONLY BID IF YOU CAN PAY SOON AS AUCTION ENDS'
So i thought to myself, since it is the USA and im in the UK it should be fine to pay as soon as i wake up, as it will probably still be evening for her.

However i wake up and read i have an email from this seller saying never to buy from her again and that i have been banned and she has re-listed the item?

Is this allowed? I mean it is also the weekend, and i bet you anything she would have only posted it on Monday!
Also surely i am allowed to pay up until the 4 days until she opens a case.
But a few hours is just pathetic.

I am so angry, What can i do?

If you won it you can always leave a neg - that will really pee her off

Personally I would just forget it but then you may feel different

just leave it be in my op. There are always new and better items But technically they can refuse to sell to whoever they want.

I feel like waiting the 4 days and then paying just to rate her negative, I dont mind waiting for ebay to refund me if it comes to that, because then she also gets a case opened against her name.

Its an item that you would hardly find, so its not like i can get 'new & better items'

I was really looking forward to the item to

Just pay for it now like you were planning on doing. Don't stoop to their level and play games. Just pay for it.

Maybe the seller does not want to ship it to your country. Just ask the seller to cancel the transaction and move on. Maybe you can find the item with another buyer and get it cheaper.

Yea until a case has been opened against you for cancelling the order, I'm pretty sure you can just keep paying even if they refund you.

I was accidentally refunded a payment right after I paid due to ebay site issues... just paid again through ebay.

I feel like they would somehow have to open a unpaid item case in this situation which doesn't make sense or seem possible at all. There is nothing the seller can do to retaliate at all except not ship the item and get in a dispute like you said.

Forget it and move on... You never know maybe the seller was in desperate need of money that evening for whatever reason and didnt even want to sell it, as it is so rare. Yet she was forced by the need for cash and now the person that won didnt follow the listed rules and messed it all up for her.... Just saying there is always 2 sides to the story...
