| | | lightmaria | 06-20-2012 12:10 PM | How much money you guys leave in PP acc? Do you guys drain it down to below 0? Or do you guys try to leave a couple hundred if not thousand in it?
I'm paranoid my PP acc will randomly get limited so i try not to keep much money at all in it because I dont wanna have to wait 6 months. |
I personally leave from $75 to $100 in my Paypals. I never drain it to zero. Every once in a while I do drain it to like $10. |
| Ebayorbust | 06-20-2012 12:20 PM | Always leave enough to be able to process a refund or two of your most popular items. |
| Elijah | 06-20-2012 12:34 PM | Not more than I am prepared to lose. PayPal are too temperamental to be used as an online savings account... |
| GREEN LION | 06-20-2012 12:42 PM | Enough to pay for ebay fees and few refund |
| GREEN LION | 06-20-2012 12:45 PM | Another question:
How much was the maximum amount you transferred to your bank account at once without a problem?
For me was £600,i want to do more but im a bit worried |

True to that Bin4ry, working with Paypal is like walking on egg shells! |
| Sandy D | 06-20-2012 01:46 PM | I run it down to whatever the eb bill is.
They stole thousands from me once and they wont do it again.
I wont give them the chance and I hope you do not either because as vile as they can be they can steal your money and never give a true reason. |
| eternity4u | 06-20-2012 05:24 PM | I always empty it. Never had any problems. PayPal have enough of our money so i always make sure PayPal does not have my penny |
| crafty1 | 06-20-2012 05:52 PM | I leave about £200 and if the account get limited, I know its not the end of the world and will cover EB fees. |
| GreenBean | 06-20-2012 06:45 PM | x2 refunds.
So about $5.00 :pound:
seriously, I leave 1/4 of a month's selling. |
| nebuspp | 06-20-2012 07:00 PM | I leave a couple k |

No way would I ever leave that much for them to steal. |
| BigCJ | 06-20-2012 09:18 PM | around 10% of whatever is in the account at the time. |
| biggunn | 06-20-2012 09:50 PM | I never leave more than $100 sitting in an account for long.. Too much of a risk even though it's easy to not get limited. |

What I meant was that if you know what you are doing then it is easy to NOT get limited. I withdraw funds within 24hrs of receiving them while leaving around 10% in the accounts. |
| aspkin | 06-20-2012 10:43 PM | It really depends.. if you're doing a few thousand a day in transactions then you'll want to leave at least $500 to $1000 in your account at all times.. just to cover your ass.
If you're doing maybe a couple thousand in a month, then leave about $100 or so in the account at all times.
The more you have going through your account, the more of a buffer you should have. |
| yotano211 | 06-20-2012 10:58 PM | I am like Sandy, I usually empty it out but sometimes I do leave about $100 in it when I get lots of sales. My things sell for 20-30, for a few refunds. |
| Nissan2nr22 | 06-21-2012 02:36 AM | I always have enough to cover any fees just so it doesn't look suspicious |
| bpdoz | 06-21-2012 02:40 AM | I always leave around 50-100, for the purpose to cover Refund.
I'm not really care about the automatic eb monthly fee, since they can take it automatically from my credit card (if I don't have enough Paypal balance). |

One of your 1st posts I recall ever reading :thumb: |
| Sandy D | 06-23-2012 01:23 PM | ROFLMAO
You guys are going to love this one.
I checked an account this morning because I needed to re list a couple of things and went to pp and what did I see? BALANCE --- 0.01
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
My new sales will pay my bill but the invoice has not even come in yet.
Hoping they limit the account so they can hold my 0.01 for 6 months. :ranger: |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-23-2012 01:36 PM | i normally NEVER leave it 0. even it's like 0.10p i leave it in there..most the times i have 0.01-0.90 in my account and just chill..sometimes to make paypal feel safe i leave £1 in you know how nice i am :heh:..then build the trust kinda up..never trusted to leave more than £20 in there though..i normally transfer everything to my bank as soon as i recieve it with no problems :) |
| Nissan2nr22 | 06-23-2012 02:33 PM | Lol I never leave my pp account at 0$ or close to that |
| biggunn | 06-23-2012 02:42 PM | Paypal is not a bank. They are an online money exchanger. Keep your money in the bank or in a shoebox under your bed.. Not in paypal! |

I do not either but to withdraw with sales coming in and shipping going out down to 0.01 for me was awesome.
If they are going to steal anything from me it would be only one red cent.
:thumb: |
I usually send paypal the following problem:
Find x > 3 such that ln(x) < x^(0.1)
And I tell them if they can figure it out that's how much I will leave in my Paypal. |
| Javelin | 06-24-2012 07:13 AM | Just enough to cover the e Bay fees and to cover any possible refunds or mistakes to buyers. But once I see that a shipment has been delivered safely, I'll take out just enough for me to live by for a couple weeks. You don't really wana drain it to less than $10 unless you really need the money for emergencies like medical and hospital bills or food. |
| NotAHappyBunny | 06-24-2012 09:52 AM | i leave a significant amount in depending on the acc't activity.
I have found that refunds can often come in groups so x2-x3 refunds would not suffice. I also believe that this can affect how eb view you - I have had much suprised success at having limits raised automatically.
I suppose it's your call - depending on how risky you think your activities are, though I may live to regret leaving it in
I am basing my withdrawals on the theory that only 1 acc't will go down at any one time & I can just about afford to lose that amount.
I have left too much in for too long at times I think as they have sent me emails reminding me that I have funds available to withdraw. I found this quite surprising as I thought they LOVED to hang on to your cash for as long as possible. |
| moneyhustler88 | 06-25-2012 02:37 PM | thats it though sandy..the thing is i've never withdrawn more than £100 at a time anyway, i just do it in seperate transactions like 20 20 20 withdrawal..no problems so far..bt yeah keep a few pence in lol never more |

I don't like looking fishy though and am always paranoid. Still, I withdraw to "0" constantly. If there aren't enough funds to cover the ebay fees they take it out of my bank account. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 06-27-2012 02:10 PM | i zero them at every available opportunity
if they charge it goes minus and the next sale covers it
i pay my fees every couple of days with my balance | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:03 AM. | |
