How much money you guys leave in PP acc?

Do you guys drain it down to below 0? Or do you guys try to leave a couple hundred if not thousand in it?

I'm paranoid my PP acc will randomly get limited so i try not to keep much money at all in it because I dont wanna have to wait 6 months.

MM78 06-20-2012 12:15 PM

I personally leave from $75 to $100 in my Paypals. I never drain it to zero. Every once in a while I do drain it to like $10.

Always leave enough to be able to process a refund or two of your most popular items.

Elijah 06-20-2012 12:34 PM

Not more than I am prepared to lose. PayPal are too temperamental to be used as an online savings account...

GREEN LION 06-20-2012 12:42 PM

Enough to pay for ebay fees and few refund

GREEN LION 06-20-2012 12:45 PM

Another question:

How much was the maximum amount you transferred to your bank account at once without a problem?

For me was £600,i want to do more but im a bit worried

There is no defined number here. It depends on how long ago did you receive the funds, and what the funds were for.

MM78 06-20-2012 01:32 PM

True to that Bin4ry, working with Paypal is like walking on egg shells!

Sandy D 06-20-2012 01:46 PM

I run it down to whatever the eb bill is.

They stole thousands from me once and they wont do it again.

I wont give them the chance and I hope you do not either because as vile as they can be they can steal your money and never give a true reason.

eternity4u 06-20-2012 05:24 PM

I always empty it. Never had any problems. PayPal have enough of our money so i always make sure PayPal does not have my penny

crafty1 06-20-2012 05:52 PM

I leave about £200 and if the account get limited, I know its not the end of the world and will cover EB fees.

GreenBean 06-20-2012 06:45 PM

x2 refunds.

So about $5.00 :pound:

seriously, I leave 1/4 of a month's selling.

nebuspp 06-20-2012 07:00 PM

What?

2k?

No way would I ever leave that much for them to steal.

BigCJ 06-20-2012 09:18 PM

around 10% of whatever is in the account at the time.

biggunn 06-20-2012 09:50 PM

I never leave more than $100 sitting in an account for long.. Too much of a risk even though it's easy to not get limited.

Just dont withdraw or spend it. Limitations such as the supplier invoice and ID one seem to only come when you do one of those two.

What?? So you just let your money sit in the account then?

What I meant was that if you know what you are doing then it is easy to NOT get limited. I withdraw funds within 24hrs of receiving them while leaving around 10% in the accounts.

aspkin 06-20-2012 10:43 PM

It really depends.. if you're doing a few thousand a day in transactions then you'll want to leave at least $500 to $1000 in your account at all times.. just to cover your ass.

If you're doing maybe a couple thousand in a month, then leave about $100 or so in the account at all times.

The more you have going through your account, the more of a buffer you should have.

yotano211 06-20-2012 10:58 PM

I am like Sandy, I usually empty it out but sometimes I do leave about $100 in it when I get lots of sales. My things sell for 20-30, for a few refunds.

Nissan2nr22 06-21-2012 02:36 AM

I always have enough to cover any fees just so it doesn't look suspicious

bpdoz 06-21-2012 02:40 AM

I always leave around 50-100, for the purpose to cover Refund.

I'm not really care about the automatic eb monthly fee, since they can take it automatically from my credit card (if I don't have enough Paypal balance).
