If you're doing maybe a couple thousand in a month, then leave about $100 or so in the account at all times.

The more you have going through your account, the more of a buffer you should have.

Brings back memories.

One of your 1st posts I recall ever reading :thumb:

ROFLMAO

You guys are going to love this one.

I checked an account this morning because I needed to re list a couple of things and went to pp and what did I see?

BALANCE --- 0.01

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

My new sales will pay my bill but the invoice has not even come in yet.

Hoping they limit the account so they can hold my 0.01 for 6 months. :ranger:

i normally NEVER leave it 0. even it's like 0.10p i leave it in there..most the times i have 0.01-0.90 in my account and just chill..sometimes to make paypal feel safe i leave £1 in you know how nice i am :heh:..then build the trust kinda up..never trusted to leave more than £20 in there though..i normally transfer everything to my bank as soon as i recieve it with no problems :)

Lol I never leave my pp account at 0$ or close to that

Paypal is not a bank. They are an online money exchanger. Keep your money in the bank or in a shoebox under your bed.. Not in paypal!

I do not either but to withdraw with sales coming in and shipping going out down to 0.01 for me was awesome.

If they are going to steal anything from me it would be only one red cent.

I usually send paypal the following problem:
Find x > 3 such that ln(x) < x^(0.1)

And I tell them if they can figure it out that's how much I will leave in my Paypal.

Just enough to cover the e Bay fees and to cover any possible refunds or mistakes to buyers. But once I see that a shipment has been delivered safely, I'll take out just enough for me to live by for a couple weeks. You don't really wana drain it to less than $10 unless you really need the money for emergencies like medical and hospital bills or food.

NotAHappyBunny 06-24-2012 09:52 AM

i leave a significant amount in depending on the acc't activity.
I have found that refunds can often come in groups so x2-x3 refunds would not suffice.

I also believe that this can affect how eb view you - I have had much suprised success at having limits raised automatically.

I suppose it's your call - depending on how risky you think your activities are, though I may live to regret leaving it in

I am basing my withdrawals on the theory that only 1 acc't will go down at any one time & I can just about afford to lose that amount.

I have left too much in for too long at times I think as they have sent me emails reminding me that I have funds available to withdraw. I found this quite surprising as I thought they LOVED to hang on to your cash for as long as possible.

moneyhustler88 06-25-2012 02:37 PM

thats it though sandy..the thing is i've never withdrawn more than £100 at a time anyway, i just do it in seperate transactions like 20 20 20 withdrawal..no problems so far..bt yeah keep a few pence in lol never more

I agree although I've never had a stealth account so I don't know the precautions with those.

I don't like looking fishy though and am always paranoid. Still, I withdraw to "0" constantly. If there aren't enough funds to cover the ebay fees they take it out of my bank account.

i zero them at every available opportunity

if they charge it goes minus and the next sale covers it

i pay my fees every couple of days with my balance
