You can go over your amount limit by listing auction style.

You can go over the monetary amount but not the listing amount.

e.g. if your money limit is £100
and after your 9th sale you've sold £99 worth
then you list your 10th item at 99p starting bid and it could end up selling for £10.
Ergo you've exceeded the monetary amount.

Thats "allowed" ive done it many times to increase limits...which has worked.
I went from 10 to 20 to 40 in 3 months.
My money allowance has also increased from £650 to £1000 to £1700 respectively.

Yeah, I noticed that it let you do that. I went over my amount for quite a few months and then they upped my limit from 10 items to 30 items. I've pretty much doubled my money amount though, so hopefully they up it again pretty soon.

I take it by "lifted" you mean "increased" and not "removed" as in no limits?

If you hits or go over amount limit, you probably get higher limit on the next time eb evaluates your account.
However, we can't exceed all other limits.

Look at the date of the post, June 2012.

Things change over time, unfortunately where e/b are concerned only ever for the worst.
