do banks keep your card number?
 

Long story..i won't go into..nothing to do with my account..but i wondered paypal claim that bank companies keep even expired credit card numbers..do they? just i may need this to help me with something ps: paypal sucks lol

Yes, banks have them in their file, in case of fraud, thats how many criminals get caught, they always have access to any credit card ever issued. and so it never gets issued to anyone again..

I am speaking from the USA standpoint.

Not just US - worldwide.

paypal keep records for years

Banks keep records 'officially for seven years'.

Vague claims are made that info is destroyed then.

The reality I know is that some info might be stripped out & deleted. The vast majority is retained....until the world ends :boink:


If the account was deliquent at any time, its info is kept...
