21 days hold for a payment from Unregistered PayPal User
 

Hi guys,

I have sold an item on eBay US today. The total amount is $300 dollars, and the buyer who bought it, his eBay account was registered on April 2011 but still with 0 feedback. After the payment was done, the payment has been put on a 21 days hold. And when I was looking at the PayPal transaction detail, I realized this buyer's PayPal account is showing as "Unregistered".

All these details of the buyer seemed very strange to me. Plus the 21 days hold. Shall I go ahead to ship out the item or refund the buyer?

Does the address show as verified? It could be they used a Credit Card to make the purchase.

It doesn't say, where it normally says verified or unverified, this transaction says "The sender of this payment is Unregistered".

Transactions like these here in the UK normally mean the buyer used the guest checkout option, where they avoid creating a PayPal account.

Same thing happened to me, the buyer is from Russia I have a little difficulty understanding his explaination. His purchase was also in the $300 range on 2 items. Oh and get this, his shipping address starts with "Land of makebelieve." Wont be shipping diddly.

1st q - to where is the item headed?

Hi rsot, the shipping address is Nashville, TN, United States. It is the same address on both eBay & PayPal page.

I have messaged the buyer to ask for a phone number, told him it is required for international shipping. Will wait and see if he reply. Really hate this type of things :doh:

Buyer replied me with a phone number after 1 week. Is it safe to send the item now?
