Hmmmm.
2 things keep throwing me...the director and bank account:help:

webprojectuk 09-16-2012 11:21 AM

Hi,

I find some replies on here very confusing and coded.

This was a simple answer on how to open a Ebay & PayPal accounts using LTD company to run a business like any other business. Obviously the LTD company will be opened and confirm to the UK laws. To be honest GreenBean I didn't think anyone has opened a LTD company through the companies house and didn't confirm to the UK Law. But I stand to be corrected.

For anyone who is actually looking for and the way I see this is:

1. You open a LTD company as you would any other LTD company.
2. The director can be you.
3. When you open a Ebay account and PayPal accounts you enter the main contact details this can be anyone who is associated with the company but who has not had any issues with ebay or paypal.

Overall it's same as being self employed you still need someone who is associated to the business to deal with the Ebay and PayPal.

If anyone thinks I am wrong please feel free to correct me.

infinitelyannoyed 09-16-2012 11:29 AM

If you're suspended then it cannot be you.

So the contact could be stealth? But then how do you get docs and bank account?

Also could you register the company at a PO Box?

Spelling out time I see. Applies to EVERYONE considering creating companies in the UK.

No-one here on the forum is privy to the potential set-up of any users who want to use ebay as an LTD.

Our base line of info is users have been previously suspended on ebay.

The steps to create companies have to be exact, precise & conform to UK law.
Further, such companies need to be able to withstand scrutiny from ebay/paypal.

The key to that success will be in their creation in the 1st place. Expert advice will cover that hurdle
:amen:

webprojectuk,

I think GreenBean™ means to say you need to get qualified professional help with this to ensure everything is satisfactory to UK compliance.

Then go ahead and waste your money and your time - it's your choice

LOL.. I love the fact the help on here is getting better minute by minute. Actually, 5 days later I am still no wiser and I am sure this applies to many others following this thread.

So, how is your post going to help anyone reading my post?

SUVE 09-16-2012 03:18 PM

I would purchase the stealth guide (&/or if you have it, activate your membership) for some of the points you raise in the subscribers section.

You have been advised on post 19.

Most of us on here, particularly the execs, are what they are because they try to help people who have been abused by the EB/PP system

We start off as being subscribed members - ergo - we put in.

We are acutely aware that a lot of visitors and unsubscribed members peruse this forum to glean what we do.

You have come on looking for advise on a particularly sensitive matter - not to everyone - but to me very sensitive and you expect me and others like me to spill our secrets to you. Then they will get abused and be secrets no more

Who are you? What have you put in? Why should I trust you with my secrets and valuable information and work arounds? Once again who are you?

You have been given excellent advise by SUVE - I suggest you follow it if you want to get where you are trying to be

LOL – I think I finally get the message .

Stigger 09-16-2012 05:52 PM

there are more ways than one to skin a cat and when its come to LTD and PP i dont think linking the two are good for your ltd in the long run.

on my first ltd that PP killed i lerned some Very Very valuable lessons.

My second time round, i keep the LTD Separate from PP/EBY and my websites

i create stealth PP sole trader accounts in trading names for websites, and use a mix on eby.

there are loads of reason i do things like this but each to there own.

as long as you paper works in tact

Hi,

Thank you for all your replies.

I don't plan to have any further issues with Ebay to be honest. We already run another Ebay account which is Top rated seller, 99.99% positive feedback, and has been running for over a year without any problems or id requests. However, this account belongs to a family member who is now seen what is possible and is looking to get the account back.

So, this is the reason why we are looking for the best way to setup a reliable account without creating too many problems for the company.

Did you ever ? :juggle:

webprojectuk 09-19-2012 06:54 AM

Yes, fair comment but you learn from your mistakes, I know now what NOT to do. I.e. if you ratings start to go down - CLOSE THE ACCOUNT! Unless you know how to correct them quickly which, we have figured a way around this as well.

GreenBean 09-19-2012 07:02 AM

That very reply suggest you've not grasped the nuances of using ebay.

Unless ebay/paypal close an account, it should stay up.
That's your business though.

Now back to the thread and the original Question 'LTD Company' - how to go about this 'That is the question'

SUVE 09-20-2012 06:17 PM

I thought TizWoz's post was very helpful in respect to your query.

The actual setup will have to be evolved, developed & tweaked by yourself tempered by your own resourcefulness & hard graft, barring seeking a professional expert on this.

hope your listening to this ............

See you soon, no i mean it, see you after the ltd and eby combo fail :juggle:

oompaloompa 09-21-2012 03:52 PM

ltd company directors are publically searchable, in addition so are the company secs and other load officers. To be honest if you want to be completely safe a ltd company should not have banned details for any of the above.

will paypal/ebay ask for YOU to supply just the details of principal and take it at face value and let you carry on or will they take it upon themselves to do a public search and check the whole company out? thats why you need to think carefully before making the time cost investment of a ltd company, bottom line is it is more solid a status, but a sole trader is an acceptable alternative.

and as for the minute by minute advice you get on this forum, I agree hard to beat.....:amen:
