I know that this is a risk we take by using address's that we do not have access too but how annoying is it when a buyer informs you that they have returned a item too it!

I actually feel like i could slap them hard.

That`s the issue with returns....you need a working address. If you use a sh*t address, be clear about where the item is to be returned.

Sorry little sympathy.

Not just for you but for anyone NOT having access to an address for returns.

It's the risk factor ( for me).

If the account was non-stealth, there would be a return address. Given the potential for damage for stealth accounts, it's more critical.

Mind, I would back hand a buyer that returned without letting me know

Book is not pointless. The book was ALWAYS designed to work in hand with the forum. I was taught that the 1st week I joined.

Book will give the background. Forum will give the fill-in extras.

I have found that to be the case.

I have multiple ebays to one paypal.

Setting up like that means only the email differs.

There are other ways around addresses.

eg TizWoz rents storage units.

What is needed is a plan for any user to get the best from their accounts.

10 accounts, some people have over 100+ accounts. Lots of people just use 1 or 2 PO boxs for returns. They private message the seller to return to the item to the PO box. I try not to use the ebay message system, I work with their private email.

I'm in a little grumpy mood - pointless was too strong. Great for getting started but not the long-term solution. I skim-read the book originally and spent time on here searching and reading. More recently read the book properly and found I'd got it all already from the skim-read but the detail I really needed was all still on the forum..

Thanks for the little insight to addresses.. I've still not been able to find how to get a trading-as name yet in the UK.

Is the advantage of 2 eB-> 1 PP for selling limits only, nothing more?

The things I plan to sell, in my experience always involves personal, nerdy, enthusiast contact. Rarely are collectables returned without contact or some attempt at resolution without returning, probably only brand new, cheaper items.

I have recently started doing this but the address us shown no matter what so we can't iron it out completely unless we have access to the address. I find it impossible finding enough accessible addresses.
