Default Really annoying Verizon troubles

I can't stand this verizon internet. The IP changing on this thing is the biggest pain in the ass. I am ready and eager to switch to a new internet provider that allows simple and quick IP switching.

Does anyone know any providers that allow quick ip switching without and hassle?

I remember i had comcast a long time ago and all i did was go to command and type in ipconfig and ipconfig release and had a new ip every time. Quick and simple. Anyone know if they still work like that?

I loved my comcast IP switching. But i remember before we canceled the service with them they came out with some new modem/router thing just like verizon has now. Which makes it so painful to switch IP. Do you know if they still offer that or do they just give you a simple modem if you just want internet.

Smartphone with tethering is also easy. Just pop in and out of airplane mode to change IP.

Most if not all companies are giving you 1 IP now, even the small guys are only giving out 1 IP

Tethering with my iPhone is the easiest method I ever tried. You don't have to list on your phone...

Just connect your phone to your laptop with USB and your laptop will have thousands of IPs. Make sure you tick off the "connect to network automatically" option though, otherwise you might connect to your main network while you're signed onto eB and your original IP will show.

For android there are apps like foxfi, pdanet, easytether and such that will let you wifi tether for free as well. Pretty much makes your phone work like a MiFi

if you stick to ebay stuff there will be minimal usage, depends on the amount of accounts you are using. tethering will usually give you a very limited number of ip addresses these days (at least from my experience), dongle is the way to go. worth the $

Agree with slim_jim - very minimal use for just eb. Its the livestreaming and youtubeing that will really up your month rate so avoid that.

Yea I stopped tethering on phone because still rotating same 30 or so IP from last 3 months... I use many mifi, dongle, tether.... Each has its own issues... One thing is that IP could change mid usage without you noticing. If you lose signal for just a second (happens often) you could end up on a repeat IP... So you must be careful....

I am sure UK has dongles for sale. As for tethering, you have a smartphone on 3G system like Virgin or whatever - you can do it so I am sure it`s in the UK...what phone you use?
