Default Where to ship from ?

So with a UK eBay/Paypal account, and living permanently in Cyprus, should I send everything I wish to sell to a UK warehouse and have them ship it ? Will Paypal ask for shipping proof ? Or it's ok to ship from Cyprus without mentioning that I ship from Cyprus ?

I agree that shipping from the UK is best way forward if this is something you can set up.

You have to be careful. Never lie about the true location of goods.

paypal will ask for shipping proof for any reason.

Make sure you cover yourself with delivery times.

If you manage to get a UK warehouse, make sure those sending the goods are trustworthy.

This is an easy way to damage a new account should there be shipping issues.

Make sure the warehouse is real.

Never lie about the location of the goods.

Ok, this is one mistake I was making. I was lying regarding the location of goods. However, what the above posts do not directly answer, is that will it bother ebay or cause you an trouble if you input the actual location of the goods when selling on ebay?

I suppose it will cause trouble if you had an account that was suspended and it becomes linked, but if the shipping address is good, regardless of the country it is in, does it matter?

Many thing can bother e/b especially wrong or misleading information in a listing because if that upsets a buyer then they are never ever going to be on your side in a dispute.

In fact it doesn't even need to result in a buyer getting pi**ed off because e/b can and do take it upon themselves to audit accounts for policy breaches. The end result will be the same.

As for the rest, yes it does matter.

Look at what you have written and pretend you are the buyer....looks sketchy no?

It matters.
It matters for many reasons.

read what rsot said.... a buyer picking up on address differences could & WOULD report you to ebay.
Avoid that.

Also try not to hijack another thread... you have this topic already going.
