Default VCC and EXPUSE...

Hi guys,

When opening a UK PP, and adding a VCC, is it best to get a basic VCC (card number, expiry and CVV2) or a VCC+AVS (address attached to basic VCC)?

Do PP UK still require EXPUSE codes from VCC's in order to have a confirmed PP account?

Can anyone tell me if having VCC with AVS is a must when trying to open a confirmed UK PP for the purpose of selling?

Yes a vcc that will pass AVS is a must if you wish to have a confirmed address attached to your p/p account and yes they still send a four digit code but there is no such thing as EXPUSE anymore, all the vcc does is confirm the postal address, nothing more really.

It's the adding of a bank account that is vital

So I will be better off getting a VCC with AVS, plus I'll still have to confirm a code? Do they charge VCC with a set amount? Does anyone know how much I would need on the VCC?

They charge £1 against the card which is refunded back to your p/p account when it's confirmed.

In addition they will charge a trial amount of around £1 when the card is first added this is released a few days later but will decrease the card balance.

So to be safe have at least £3 on the vcc

Am I right in saying having the VCC/card as 'confirmed' is only necessary if I intend to use the VCC or card for purchases? And as I'm just using the VCC with AVS to confirm an address with PP, confirming the 4 digit code in unnecessary?

I will be using this PP as selling account only, and will have a verified bank account attached for withdrawals.

In order to confirm the card you need to input the 4 digit code into p/p

As I said before all the vcc does is confirm the address on your account.

You do not need to confirm the card in order to use it to make purchases.

However if you are using this as a selling account there is an advantage in having the address as confirmed obviously

You can do purchasing only with VCC BUT...some sellers like to see VERIFIED pp status...this is done with bank account
