Play Issue...
I’ve used play on and off for awhile and never had any problems, but a friend of mine has had an issue lately that seems ridiculous all around, especially with the communication he’s had from play themselves.
They sold a game, buyer contacts through play saying it’s a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ demanding a refund without returning it, then shortly after a private email stating numerous s threats and further demands well being pretty open about his intentions.
Seller refuses, stating if they are unhappy then they can return the item for a full refund etc , to which the buyer then leaves a negative feedback along with further emails stating more demands like removal of his items for sale or they would buy those and cause further problems amongst other things. The states there next step would be to send a counterfeit game to play themselves to get them banned if the demands are not met.
Buyer states the same as before, but removes some of there items for sale to avoid the buyer purchasing more (I think this is his mistake in plays eyes?).
Account goes into temporary suspension with a request for supplier information, seller supplies invoices and information with an explanation of what had actually happened.
They receive a short response to this, simply stating the buyer is sending them the game for inspection and they would get back to them, no mention of the issue with the buyer, no mention of the invoices they supplied, along with a full refund for the buyer.
Anyone had similar experiences to this with play? Simply ignoring the seller, instant refund on the item and requesting basically anything to be sent to them for ‘inspection’, never heard or experienced anything similar to these before, it just seems crazy.
Seller is a little worried for the health of his account when play have essentially ignored them. Seller has cash in the account still, also had a cash out a few days before this which they haven’t got yet. Game was a 360 game, which as far as I’m aware is not ⊗⊗⊗⊗d and are sold as back ups to work with chipped consoles, which adds to the craziness. Seller I think also had a pro-trader account. Game is official, this passage was to highlight its not like a widespead DS/PC type ⊗⊗⊗⊗. I have never seen a back up 360 game, in case, sealed and sold to me as real, this is what the passage was saying, not that it is a back up, i realise the post was long, and the passage poorly worded. Reposted due to originally being removed over mistaking what was being said
Anyone know what the outcome would be? Buyer could follow through with his threat of sending a counterfeit to them, or simply keep the item now they have there refund, in the meantime the seller still has the suspension. Seems so open to abuse with the email to email coms and play seemingly requesting anything to be sent to them.
