If your withdrawal completes before limitation (even if you get limited just moments after it says complete), you are fine and the money will appear within your bank/card eventually. It only goes back into your account if it was still pending at the time that you got limited.

Yes, it's happened to me 2 or 3 times.

Even if the money hits your bank account PP can still Reverse the funds at ANY time, now or in the future.

I know someone who had PP reverse after 4 friggin months.

P.S. I'm in the US, don't know how this applies to other parts of the world.

If paypal wants, they can try to get the funds back.

What's actually happened?

Give more details including what country's paypal.

If the withdrawal shows "processing", it can be reversed any time...even up to the last second before it shows completed. After the 24 hour "processing" period it will show "completed" and at that time it doesn't matter what they do.

I have HEARD that they can take it back out of your bank account but I have never had that happen. I have only had one instance where they limited me a few hours after withdrawal was complete. And within half a day I was reinstated.

How can they have access to my bank accounts ?

Or it's the case of reversing that particular transaction with the bank, reporting that there's a problem ?

PayPal own your life, that's how.

or so they think!

Although it might be because when you sign a direct debit agreement (verifying your bank etc) you allow them access to your funds.

Even if you sever the ACH link with paypal, they can still reverse the transfer out of your account. They play the "fraud" card and get around everything saying what they are doing is NOT an ACH withdrawal.

Read your TOS.

It says they can raid your bank account at will. That's why I transfer monies OUT into another account at the same bank the day it hits.

Yet less than 50 minutes after your OP you bleated for replies?

When you made your first paypal account and hit the send button to start it, that was your agreement to their T&S.

You have erred big time if you did not make yourself familiar with paypal's rights.

Believe me, paypal are far more sneaky that you can ever imagine.

Play coy and pretend you are being curious. If you have an issue with funds, paypal will fight dirty to claw them back from you.

A rare piece of bad information from you, Roscoe. Paypal cannot touch your bank account unless you select your bank account as a pre-authorized payment method and then they can only touch it to pay for that particular item or recurring billing. Years ago paypal used to do this very thing Roscoe talks about and they were sued, lost badly, and as a result had to payout settlements and were given a stern warning by various government agencies. Look it up as it is all over the net.

ACH's, much like wire transfers, are very difficult to reverse once completed. They would have to certify to the bank that the ACH was a mistake or have to get a court order stating that it was fraud.

Yet another reason when I withdraw to a bank account I transfer funds online right over to a non pp non ebay account.

Then they cannot touch the money if there is nothing in that account to be had.

And another reason to never have your own CC on file or they will try this if the bank method fails.

I don't pretend to be curious, I was curious. This affects a friend but it's not the business of anyone, so I cannot share more information on his issue.
