Default Solid Ebay acct with multiple PP accts?

So I am somewhat stuck in a situation.
I have a solid eb acct. It is an acct a friend of mine created. I have been using this acct for many years. 1000+ feedback, top rated, etc..
It is NOT stealth and has no chance of linking or anything, VERY SOLID.
Here is the issue---
It is attached to a PP acct in his name. I have been using this pp acct just fine but it is getting close to the 20k. I do not want that to happen for obvious reasons but I want to keep the ebay acct.
I am hoping I can change the pp acct for all my listings. I am fine with his pp acct remaining attached to eb acct to pay ebay fees, but I want to have my listings send money to a different pp acct.
Is this possible? I know it is easy to change it on all listings but will it work?
I do have another pp acct I can use.
I just know in the stealth guide it states all info should match.
Hope this makes sense and thanks for any input.

I believe it is OK to have the money sent to another paypal account...I have heard of doing this, but I am not 100% certain. I am interested in knowing as well, so hopefully we can get some more input on the matter.

I hope so, I would hate to give up this account.
I have used it for several years.
Thanks for the input, and please anyone else chime in...

What are you doing about your earnings for the tax threshold etc?

I know a similar trick to get around the 21 day hold for new accounts. And I have certainly heard of accepting payments on another paypal account. The only problem I see with this is Paypal might limit the new account that is accepting payments wondering why all of a sudden a "third party" is jumping in. Of course the account will be yours, but when the account has been using the first paypal for so long, it may cause some issues.

Actually if you are under 200 transactions going through paypal then you are safe in that aspect, even if your earnings are over $20k. It is $20k AND 200 transactions. Both, not one or the other.

No, sellers may be asked for tax info long before your stated figures.

Stay on topic though.

OP says he is using another party's paypal at the moment. I have concerns of what is happening tax wise. He will need to be very careful at this point.

On the new pp acct it would be fine. I would go ahead and go over the threshold without worry. I would include everything legit. I am not trying to dodge the tax but rather switch it to my own. I just dont know if it is too late on this eb acct?
This acct was an acct that a biz partner and I had together. He has since moved on to corp america. I have continued using the acct but need to remove him completely for the obvious and this acct is maxed out.
Thanks Greenbean for the help.

This is very false.

Many here have reported getting the IRS request as low as 110 items sold and less then 10k in sales.

It goes by the "potential" of your account to hit those numbers.

Back to OP question.

If you have a solid eb account no way would I attached multiple pps because you are risking all the work you did to build that eb account.

1 for 1 for me.
