Default Auto Parts Suppliers?

Hi guys was wondering if you know of any UK based auto parts suppliers that will drop ship and don't have a problem with you doing this on Ebay with them?

I already have a supplier that im working with however they are not as easy to gain information from as I would like and things seem to take forever.
they are a major name in Auto parts in England however it takes me around two weeks for me to get pictures for parts and item information etc from them. This maybe due to the fact Iam new and have no sales history with them as I know of some large Ebay sellers who use the same company and Im pretty sure they get better service than me and dont have to jump through hoops for a few spread sheets etc.

They also dont give you any organised product info and you are left to join the dots which can be very confusing when dealing with thousands of parts and serial codes which you are left to cross reference. The sales rep is not very helpful. I am sure their maybe other suppliers out there that I could work with. I would be interested to hear your opinions and experiences?

many thanks

Have you contacted Andrew Page Ltd? They are the UKs largest auto part distributor. They supply a couple of my friends who run garages, they might not dropship as such but they do offer a same day delivery service to their customers.

It could be an option to get orders delivered to you the same day and then ship then yourself

i supply car parts, have done for 6-7 years but i keep everything in stock in the uk at my warehouse.

i would never rely on dropshipping, i just dont see how anyone can operate a business in that way. I know people have done, and do it very well. But the whole reason I am my own boss is because I must be in control.

Do you guys get a chance to buy junk cars?

My BIL buys up tons of junk cars and cleans parts, make sure they work and sells a ton of stuff on ebay.

He buys a ton of older Hondas and get stupid money out of little things like door handles, light covers, window switches etc.

He buys lots of trucks, vans mostly but will buy cars, mostly hondas, caddys, etc.

He bought a crushed Hummer a while back and make a small fortune on parting it out.

ebay may have a problem with your proposed business plan of drop shipping.

What other places have you checked to find leads? You have to get out there to find your market.
Pick your favourite set of wheels.( ie model of auto). Look for an on line forum for them. See what they talk about in their trading sections.

It's a good market IF you do the work. It's very competitive and customers can be unpleasant so be prepared for that as well.

Yes I do this a lot, it is good money if you get the right cars! But it is messy work and I do prefer just to sell new parts, my hands stay clean at the end of the day lol.

vx is right

we are in the "same game" page's wont supply to your bedroom

i can also guess who your current "unorganised" supplier is

depends on the kind of parts you wish to sell

there are ways around the issues you are having

BUT hear what i am saying

relying on ANYONE to dropship will kill your account in a few months

especially a new account

Perfect example I tell people who want to make money in this business for USA! Works for UK.

Example the body of a mustang stays 4 years, lets say a 2008 body is the same as a 2004 body k? But it's not I don't know I don't like mustangs so I don't care for them just an example.

Lets say it's 2008. You want to buy a 2004 model with as many miles as you can!!!! Why? Cause those parts have no miles, they are parts! NEW or USED parts. USED parts are all the same price range. So if you buy the car for $7,000 and it's worth $25,000 new! How much do you think those parts are worth when you strip it down and resell it all?

Get a car with high miles/km for the project, start out with the top 3 cars that are mostly sold in UK market. And go for it find older models that are still popular and the body parts fit.

Drop shipping is for 1993 when it was popular today you got google. Everyone can search for it, competition is in the air! Your business project requires a large garage unless you are starting out with 1 to 3 cars, tools! skills! And when you get bigger a big lot!

Good Luck!
