New Paypal, £300, limited by paypal, help!
 

Hi all.

I set up a new paypal account and recieved £300 into it. I then tried to send £300 to another paypal account and paypal hit me with a limitation which requires the following. (Stealth account)

Confirm your bank account

Validate your Account Information

Provide business information (even though its a personal account?)

Did you bother to read the forums or the stealth guide before you attempted this ?

Well if the account is that new, you set it up, received money and you are transferring to another pp account.

Which limitation are you referring to?

Are you referring to PayPal blocking you from sending money to someone because your account is not verified?

Or

PayPal limiting your account for suspicious reasons.

If your account is unverified then there is no way you can send that money, but then you will be able to receive funds unless otherwise you are limited.

Looks like an easy limitation to fix, as long as it doesn't require PayPal to manually review it after completing the steps.

All you can do is complete the steps and hope for the best. Sometimes you get automatically reinstated, sometimes a PayPal staff member has to look at your account after, and if that happens they are likely to make things much more difficult than necessary.

that is kind of a common limitation for a new unverified account.

If you want to get the money out you will need to add a bank and provide info. Disregard the business info part.

However I opened a new bank acc, then provided the details but paypal said the deposit was declined. Is it because the address is different? The name is the same and I thought that was all Paypal saw?

Also to add, the guy at paypal said savings accounts might not work. Bank acc is with Natwest, im not sure if its current/savings etc.

yes you have basically triggered a flag, an automated one probably..

I never had a problem with savings acc, but some people say the have failed and that there is a knack to adding them, not sure where the thread is but think it involves being ready to input the code as soon as it hits the bank, before the savings acc gets removed, it is ok to re-add the bank and sometimes you have to message paypal to add it for you again, which they usually do. When there is a limitation issue though, not sure if procedure is the same so maybe someone else can chip in on this....

For anyone else wanting to know, I rang up and they basically said when the bank account is confirmed I can withdraw/send funds.

I put info in and it adds bank ok but fails when trying to depost the £0.01

I Only just created the bank account if that makes any difference

Looks like a RBS account which should be fine. What is the error message you get?

Also on the mandate, you got to put in your bank's address.

sending anymore than 150 in my experience, for a new account = limited.

i wouldnt dare it with more than 100 these days.

I have just opened an account in the UK and have not added the bank account. i have added a VCC to paypal but I want to leave the bank account till I have traded a month or so and know the account is fine.

I've added the Paypal to an ebay account, anyone see any problems receiving payments without the bank account there to start with?

receiving is not a problem, just be careful when you try and take it out without bank..
