| | | incniu | 02-28-2013 11:45 PM | It seems new ebay accounts need calling verification Ebay asks me to call back every time for each new selling account. |
| boost | 02-28-2013 11:48 PM | This is nothing new.... |
| LoopHole | 02-28-2013 11:49 PM | Its always been like this. |
| incniu | 02-28-2013 11:57 PM | Before, I never need to call to verify after accounts created..
Anyone runs into any problem when calling to verify? |

| corleone | 03-01-2013 01:19 AM | I make about 4 accounts per week and list 1 or 2 items on each new account, and I get it on maybe 1 account on average. There was a time a few weeks ago where I was getting it over 50% of the time. It has loosened up the last couple weeks for me. |
| zoneout | 03-01-2013 01:23 AM | Once again thanks Corleone
id make it official with the button but have exceeded my allotment of thank you`s by the forum screwges. |
| stevebills | 03-01-2013 08:31 AM | call in and say what? |
| zoneout | 03-01-2013 08:36 AM | Its a North American thing only I think :canada:=} |
| jmg0055 | 03-02-2013 09:04 PM | How do you verify an account when you're required to call in if it's under anon info? I'm stuck on this step :(
--
I should add some extra info to this to clarify the problem I'm having.
When I setup an anon account it is always limited (granted I've only setup 3 of them). I have a clean IP, cookies, etc etc. I've setup anon accounts for years with no problems until now. Anyway, when they limit the account they require I call in. When I call in they state that they are going to ask questions that only the person who registered the account would know. It seems impossible to be able to answer these questions since the account is registered under anon info.
Is this the same kind of limitation you guys are talking about getting around or is the limitation I'm receiving more severe? |
Your limitation requires you to call in, and if you call them and can't answer those questions correctly...then there is no point in calling, wouldn't you agree?
Unless you are really, really good at answering questions you have no answers too. |
| jmg0055 | 03-02-2013 09:38 PM | Yup, It's pointless to even try. I just noticed above that someone mentioned the call-in process is relatively simple to get around and I was confused. MM78 when you setup a new anon account do you not receive this type of limitation? If not I'm surely doing something wrong during the process. I suspect it may have something to do with the VCC I'm using. |
I never do jm0055, but I really make sure that all my accounts are aged, and have some good feedback before selling anything high risk. I have several accounts that are well over 1yr old and still going solid. |
| jmg0055 | 03-02-2013 09:59 PM | I see I see. Excellent info. I very much appreciate it. |
Anytime. Were here to help. |

Could you go over what you do?
Outline all your steps, please.
Please also include how soon you list & if your paypal is verified & confirmed

| Packattack12 | 03-02-2013 10:31 PM | I ALWAYS wait 30 days before listing and I never get the MC099 anymore |
| GreenBean | 03-02-2013 10:40 PM | @Packattack12
The old ways are best imo.
Waiting to list was the method when I first joined. I apply that without fail to all of the different accounts in several countries.
Never ever had issues.

:spy: | To be bluntly honest with you I was rushing/doing it the cheap way and not registering a VCC on PP and eBay. I would however let the account age for 40+ days. I had always had success this way up until about 2 months ago. I just signed up for a 24/7 card though and I'm going to try that out. If that doesn't work I'm going to purchase a VCC from a user on this forum. |
I am also a fan of verifying pp WELL in advance to operating on eB...think it helps a lot |
| moneyhustler88 | 03-03-2013 10:42 AM | yeah i agree with rsot..and panic attack..fantastic advice here guys. I've had a lot of MC099s..but those two methods helped me a lot..also the key thing I can say is..research BEFORE creating an account |
| Sandy D | 03-04-2013 04:05 AM | I think most people get in a hurry and it hurts them.
Also, when people have lots of stock and lose an account with some good limits on it they get scared and want to get selling again and rush things up and make mistakes.
Another good reason to have as may backups as you can get.
Spread your sales so you can have some aging while working on current ones.
Plan for the future and work for today! |

Why rush into Ebay if PP not verified?
Why risk 2 accounts limited? |
| TechTro | 03-04-2013 01:38 PM | I have been having similar problems recently. I rush in and not wait. I always verify paypal vcc before I list anything on ebay though. Two of my accounts got the MC99 after all the items have been already sold. The paypals are fine though I already spent all the money on one of the accounts.
Do you guys also add a VCC to eBay, Do you think it is a must? I have never done it but I think of starting. Maybe will get less heat from ebay for more verification.
Also anyone know a Good cheap method for VBA verification?
Thank you. Aspkin, Sandy, Greenbean, and Packattack, great advice like always. |

Thank you. Aspkin, Sandy, Greenbean, and Packattack, great advice like always. | There is no need to add a VCC to Ebay. |
| TechTro | 03-04-2013 01:52 PM | Do you think it is a good idea to list first used items after like 30 days? Or new will do just fine? |
| incniu | 03-05-2013 02:43 PM | It works?
Just set up ebay and paypal.... and wait 30days to list first item?
I always start to sell on the same day I set up a new account.... Quote:

| newjerseymax | 03-07-2013 12:06 AM | I agree I have accounts going on year that I have not listed any items for sale and just purchase cheap items at random and when necessary I will sell. It has not come that I needed them though. Even purchased accounts here in forum. I like to get a couple every few months, however I am still running my original stealth accounts from as far back as 4 years. |

We are all here to help each other. |
| Sandy D | 03-07-2013 01:00 AM | If you can wait 30 days it would be good but many dont have 30 days and need to get selling.
I think waiting 3-4 days and listing one yard sale household item wont hurt. Get it shipped and then list 2-3 more items.
Get them shipped and make sure tracking is added.
Then list the rest up to your limit.
Communicate with your buyers, do clean crisp clear descriptions.
Give a guarantee if you can etc.
Idea is to build trust and not list anything risky or in a risky category at all.
And do not list anything NEW. |
Dont forget the avoidance of high risk listing Sandy_D :) good tips :thumb: |
Re: It seems new ebay accounts need calling verification Yes you want to look like Joe Bloggs who is new to the wacky world of eBay. Joe bloggs wants to get rid of some old books or fishing tackle. 68yr old Joe does NOT list Dr Dre Beats headphones and ship them from China. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:59 PM. | |
