Default First Class Tracking?

I always ship Priority Mail no matter what but now I'm thinking of using First Class for some of my packages. I know I can add delivery confirmation to it but does that allow me to track it or just shows when it's delivered? I'll be shipping from my zipcode but using the stealth return address on the package so I'm wondering if delivery confirmation will show my zipcode when tracked? I don't want my customer tracking the package and seeing it came from my city/state/zipcode. Does anyone know if they will be able to see my city/state/zipcode when tracking it?

Also, is it true that when using first class the package has to be less than 13 ounces?

Less than 13 ounces...the tracking for first class gives the same info as the tracking for priority. It will show a scan at your zipcode/city/state whatever.

Are you positive about this? I purchased something from eBay a few days ago and the seller shipped first class, the tracking number only shows it arrived in my city, it doesn't show anything whatsoever before that, must be an error on USPS's side?

I just tried to ship a package first class, it's 13 oz or less.

If it's less than 13 ounces it can go first class. if it's 13.1 ounces, it counts as 14oz and you can't ship first class.

USPS is notorious for not scanning their packages on the way....has nothing to do with first class tracking differently.

Its the same tracking as priority but these postal employees ae lazy aholes so some of the packages might not get scanned until they are delivered or might not get scanned at all...

Is there any tracking available that just shows it was delivered and doesn't give updates on the location?

sometimes it's scanned at the drop off point, sometimes it's not. there is no consistency with usps. i have had packages scan only when they reach the destination post office and also packages scanned at the point of drop off. don't expect consistency
