Default UK 21 Day Payment Holds?

You used to get your money released from paypal if your buyer gave you positive feedback for the item.

I see on a few of my accounts that this is not the case.
Has paypal stopped releasing payments with this method or have i just hit bad luck

Its going to be painful having to wait the full 21 days or having to email paypal to get the payments released on all these account.

Anyone else having this problem?

My new accounts are also the exact same Bunneh, even after pos fb left.

I can only sell 10 items a month at the moment anyway so I can live without the money, my way of looking at it is I have opened a new savings account!!

Same here, my most recent account is holding the payments even when positive feedback received.

Same here!

Maybe worth emailing paypal and asking them to release funds?

Used to be that you could email them to release the funds once the tracking details had said the item was delivered. But that was a while ago now when I was selling..

i know exactly what thread you are referring to however, this is NOT the same question i had imposed in my first post. if you bothered to read it you would know it.

I was merely letting out a frustration...

Bunneh am not having a dig at you but your questions about wether or not feedback has stopped and everything else..which was answered in another thread where numerous members had the long debate about 'delivery proof v positive feedback' and I received a email from european services of paypal who claimed that positive feedback and/or proof of delivery 3 days after the item has been posted will be when funds are released.
So paypal CLAIM that the 21 day hold is still only till you get feedback or proof of delivery..but not always..

If you need more help you can email europeanservices@paypal.com and if you have proof of postage 3 working days after email them and they will instantly release the funds to you as soon as you have they get your email..worked for me a charm and i don't have anymore holds after selling just 2 items..

I know who to email and how to get the funds released but as i said to you already,
I was MERELY asking if when a buyer rates you positive and the funds get released has stopped i.e no longer functioning... that is all..

its debatable..if you read what I said some members are saying it still works..(paypal claim its still the way)..although when i rang paypal they told me the 'couldn't see the positive feedback'..and for others like me on recent accounts it hasn't worked even having positive feedback..the only way was to email..

Yeah it is unusual in the world of eBay..I've noticed i you have the paypal for a few months and ebay for a few months then add it to ebay theres no hold..it's odd..

I have a couple new account that have had no 21 day holds from the outset.

Like everything else in the world of e/b and p/p most 'rules' are seemingly randomly applied to new accounts.

Bear in mind that EVERYTHING they do is governed by their risk assessment algorithm which automatically assesses new accounts.

Holds are not implemented immediately an account is set up but only until AFTER you receive your first payment, then the risk assessment kicks in and if your profile is 'sub par' then holds are applied.
