Default Paypal ACH Reversed After Hitting Bank Account

I've heard about it happening but never had it done to me until now. Ebay limit increased, so I decided to sell more...transfers show as COMPLETED in Paypal, they hit my bank account yesterday, they show as cleared ACH - NOT pending. Today, they reverse the deposits and my bank account goes negative.

They didn't send any email regarding the reversal, and it STILL shows as completed in paypal....it does NOT show reversed and the funds are NOT back in my paypal account. So a big W T F here.

It usually takes some time for the funds to show in your paypal, I guess just wait some days to post.

Doesnt make sense. Paypal would note a reversal transaction. I would be willing to bet the bank noted some problem with the deposit and decided not to accept it. Try giving your bank a call maybe they know what happenned.

No, I went directly to the branch and talked to my banker. They opened a dispute on all of the reversed ACH's and assured me it was of no error on their part and that Paypal being a merchant can add or deduct funds at any time. I said NO they CANNOT because I didn't authorize an ACH debit by them.

They said I would have to directly contact Paypal and see why the ACH were reversed. I then came home and researched to find that other people have had the same thing happen to them. How Paypal gets away with it is they call it an ACH REVERSAL, not an ACH DEBIT and they can do this at any time they want for any BS reason they make up. Citing it was a mistake, etc.

Although I opened a claim against all of the reversals, my bank STILL said it could be 30-45 days before ANYTHING happens and it all depends on what Paypal says when I call them. Of course Paypal can just throw their BS TOS in my banks face and get away with it.

Boost is this a stealth account or is it your real name matching the bank name?

Its in the paypal TOS that they can reverse any payments at any time. When you use their services you singed the Terms of Service according to paypal.

Was the paypal limited?

As I said above already, its in the TOS and they can do w/e the hell they want whenever they want. Yep, paypal limited on the 10th and already submitted docs but they want to rake theirsweet time. Either reinstate me or give me the permo ban already. Sick of these frickin games

This was a fear of mine as well. Sorry that it happened to you.

This is why I advocate different cash out strategies. I just dont trust PayPal with ANY bank account.

Hope they get this straightened out in a reasonable amount of time.
